Semi important announcement.
Originally how this book and by extension the “spin offs” would have function was simple, each one told the story of the “main character” H. Leonhart, in the same town but in different situations. With an overarching story as to why the same character and town was a constant in the multiverse.
Part of the reason this wip has timeline 2 in it’s name, each timeline was numbered by how close it was to the original timeline. You would have different backgrounds in each spin off and a different narrative time. Bully with Urban fantasy, Loner with paranormal, Nerd with Syfi (aliens specifically).
But due to me coming up with other IF ideas and not wanting to be cursed to write this shared universe for the next ten or more years. I decide to scrap it in far of reducing the amount of stories I want to do, this won’t affect most things in book one but I wanted to mention it here.
The question I have to everyone before the next update, should I remove the timeline stuff from the title or keep it and make it my branding of sorts?

I will be going a little further details with the delay, I plan to release the updates on the 1st of the month and each update will be at minimum 20k words long. The current update is 31k words long and is projected to cap around 40k not including the Rachael event that I have to write.
But due to my mental health issues, I can’t write currently and will be dealing with the consequences of my actions because of that. So the update is delayed until I am in a better mental space. Either that or I out FA on Hiatus to mess around with making a cowboy IF.

Important Announcement
Recently my life has been quite the adventure on my head and I took a break from writing, it gave me some time to think about life and False ancestry itself. I came up with some new ideas and some changes that I want to make to the story, as well as coming up with some other IF ideas.
So I decided to finish this update and then cancel False ancestry, this version of it will be over but the idea itself isn’t getting killed. It’s just getting remodeled into something better, the Ros will be getting changed but all will remain the same.
I want to hear some stuff for yall, but I will be doing this in poll form because most people don’t reply much in this thread.
Here is a list of things that I am looking at/thinking about.
- Remove the Werewolf and Vampire Route, focus on the human Route.
- Remove the Human Route.
- Remove some of the Ros (reply which you think should be removed.)
- Remove the sports themes of the story and focus on the supernatural.
- Something else, that you will mention.

That’s most all that comes to my mind right now, but we will talk about the side projects.
Firstly, Lucky 13. Which will be a western/cowboy IF, the story will follow a sherif/bounty hunter/outlaw who is a veteran of the American civil war (the union specifically).
Secondly, a mecha if. still working on the ideas for this, mainly in the planning phase and won’t become anything til after that. False Ancestry or Lucky 13 will come first.

I love the sport aspect. It makes it unique from other highschool cliche. Usually the nerd is always the one who gets this kinds of story. It’s a breath of fresh air when it’s an athletic person who actually has a social life. And bonus point when we could see their physical capability without violence and instead used in sport. Again not a lot of story use supernatural powers in sports.

Understandable, the sports aspect also has a double effect by acting as a humanizing bond for the main character and other stuff. I will probably keep it, it’s a little annoying to account for all those characters tho.

It should be noted that you won’t be a defenseless human on the human route, you will and can hunt supernaturals if you are smart enough.

Follow up post for the two polls. Firstly the popularity poll and once again, Irene sweeps her way to victory like I always dreamed of. Rachael and Jamie beating Maria is surprising especially since they had small roles compared to her in act 2, but you win some and lose some.
Now for the much more important matter, the first poll about things that you want or feel should be done. I am surprised no one requested an RO to be removed but thats good. Secondly, the fact that I made a section for people to specifically state there suggestions, people voted but didn’t make themselves heard. 
I will reduce the sport related stuff in the rewrite to be less important, but it will still be present such it plays a big role in a certain dynamic the main character has. the stuff you seen so far will remain, even if it gets rewritten or expanded on.
Now for the dead horses in the room, the remove the human route poll which was the most popular for some odd reason. Without spoiling much, the human route is there to expand on and highlight in the route itself. The human route is only for book one if I keep the planned trilogy idea, and it leads to the hybrid route and thats a whole other can of beans that I spoiled
The other dead horse is to remove the supernatural routes, I did play with the idea a little bit with the whole dynamic of the player standing on the edge of natural and unnatural. But I decided to keep the course with both routes, or this would lose it’s status as a shitty twilight inspired joke.
Lastly, I am going to write the book with romance in mind, because surprisingly this was written as a supernatural thriller and not really a romance despite all that is written. I just couldn’t find a way to hook the player before the big twist at the end of the prologue, but it will be a full blown supernatural thriller romance now.
Oh yeah and this poll. I am thinking of renaming the wip/IF
- Keep the name “False Ancestry”
- Rebrand to “Into the dark woods.”
- Rebrand to “Vampires, werewolves and the unknown”
- Come up with something actually cool this time.

You know author, i think a character like Irene is what makes the story or her interactions with the MC is unique and interesting to follow:grin:Besides the story, that’s also what makes me interested in this WIP, a character with a personality like Irene:relieved_face:
