Oh lol a personal one. It was pretty vivid and great and I’m really sad because I can’t just pick up where I left off. I think it’s on post 1174 where I started talking about it with someone?

This game has been on my mind so much that I had a dream that after my MC was kidnapped from the Heartbreak incident 10 years ago, she found out that she was pregnant with Ortega’s son who inherited both of their powers. Long story short, my MC still hadn’t told Ortega about their son and kinda grudgingly bonded with Steel over a series of events in order to protect her son and herself. He sorta became the godfather to my MC’s son.

It just really makes me want to be his friend even more so than before because he and my MC became the quiet (somewhat nicer) asshole (maybe more of a snarker?) and the tough asshole friend pairing.

In the dream the son of my MC and Ortega somehow gained both their abilities. This would make more sense in the story I guess, but dream logic is weird.

But then there was also this weird telepath lady that was kidnapping other telepaths and absorbing them into her mind (like the collection of rat brains made the Rat King in the game) and my MC’s son was therefore the only person who could stop her/them. Even my MC was taken but she wasn’t fully absorbed so she was fighting back.

I really wish I knew how it ended. Ortega and their son looked so sad when she was taken, but at least I finally found out what happened to Locus (or whatever the missing telepath from the game’s name is). Why have recurring nightmares when you could have dreams like that? I really want to continue it.

I honestly don’t know yet, I’ve just got some scenes written I want to use somehow. Will see what I can do with them. Have a few ideas, but… too early.

Another thing: I have, by intention, kept the world building to a minimum. Why? Because I know myself. The more I write, the more it will develop, I will change things, come up with cooler stuff and so on.

Astute readers from waaaaay back might remember things being different.

I kind of remember things being different about a year to a year an half ago. In fact if I remember correctly the title fallen hero wasn’t even the first name of the WIP. I’m trying to remember it but it was to long ago.

Oh gosh, I haven’t played this game in so long! I come back and my two person love triangle has developed SO WELL? And what’s this about both the bad doctor and Ortega being able to be in the hospital at the same time?

What even is that? A love…? A love…?

It kind of looks like a butterfly.

Anyways, this game is one of my favorites in just about forever. The angst over if what I’m doing is right, that time where I sat in a lonely balcony waxing poetics about my otherness, the parts where sometimes my character slips up and calls his puppet ‘me’, when Ortega does his best to try and help his old friend by offering to pay for their therapy… And there’s so many other wonderful moments! Like when the Dr. Frenchie and I talked about redefining ourselves, or when we’re searching through Angie’s memories, or, or, or–!

Fallen Hero hits hard on the emotions, with some great characters to deal with the fallout. I love this game so much and I love you too.
