I’m not sure if I should be worried but planting myself in the shoes of this MC is a lot easier than in other choice of games.
“That would be nice,” you say, making sure not to let your smile grow wide enough to be creepy. Because if there is one thing you do know, it is that this city won’t be quiet for long.
I fucking love it.
Really liked the way the Gala heist played out. It was great being able to plan out all the little details and choose our own approach and goal. It felt like doing an actual heist.
I would have preferred if the mc had the option to be a little less chatty though. Look at it this way: the tone of voice may be disguised, but anyone who knows you well likely knows the way you pronounce things, and there’s a small chance of that being traced. Plus, keeping your mouth shut while on the job is just an overall smart thing to do. But that’s just a preference of tactics. I suppose for a character who was in it for the fame rather than to fund future endeavors, chatty and inefficient is exactly the way to go.
Also, may want to consider having a better process of catching grammar and spelling errors. I think if you just copy-and-pasted each scene in a word document and let that help you identify the most obvious ones, that would probably fix about 90% of the spelling errors I saw
And again, I’d like to draw emphasis to how awesome the villain-ing feels. I haven’t looked at the code or done wildly different playthroughs, so I can’t really know how much of it matters, but it feels like I’m having to seriously think about how I want to approach each problem in order to crank out the maximum efficiency from my villain career. Makes me ask tactical questions like “Do I want to lie to this person?” “How much should I lie?” “Of the two people asking my out to the gala, which one gives me the greatest tactical advantage for my plan?”
I kind of want to go out and become a supercriminal now

Lord knows how excited I was for this! I chose to gloat to Herald (because what anti-villain would my character be, IT IS TRADITION I TELL YOU) and the cape was a lovely touch. I very approve. Edna Mode wouldn’t :))) (I hope it won’t bite us in the butt)
Still craving for more Ortega x MC! It’s nice to have a confirmation that he may or may not have romantic feelings for them :>

They ask you if you agree with Ortega to keep in touch, but the MC declines.
Maybe it’s just how my brain is wired, but I saw more grammatical errors than spelling errors.
Still, this was well worth the wait! I’m a little bummed it ended right before we had our fight with Ortega, but that’s a good problem to have.
I don’t know about anyone else, but dear Cynthia pushed Ortega away as Yasmin. She wants something, but it has to be her Ortega gets, not a possessed doll. It was incredibly amusing walking through the old Sidestep exhibit and catching the conversation between two people she’d eventually have to fight about a certain someone “in love”.
I don’t know about anyone else, but my brain decided to pick out a particular song right before we started fighting Herald. Anyone else get any particular battle-anthems going?
As an aside, I do like how there is this natural indulgence in newfound power we can either fight or partake in. Even as a low-level superhero, there’s just something about going from Domino to straight-up Iron Man in terms of capability that I can’t help but feel. I get the feeling being a bit chatty is a natural response, even if you have several options to limit just how much you speak.
And congrats on the new contract, @malinryden!!! Glad you have some time to devote to the game, and I hope things continue to work out for you!

I don’t know man, something about just silently swatting away the most famous superhero team in the city, treating them the same way you’d treat an annoying bug flying around your shoulder is awe-inspiring.
Take, for example, Acnologia from Fairy Tail (Silence haters, le me make my examplr), he is very capable of talking, yet refuses to talk to the mc’s. Why? I believe he said something along the lines of
“Would you acknowledge an ant getting in the way of your shoe?”
Arrogant. Imposing. Terrifying.
To show them that they are absolutely helpless as you casually smash apart everything they stand for. To show that they can’t even save what’s directly in front of them… To show the world that their heroes are literally nothing when put in your path.
To show that before you, all is dust.
Is there no better way to gain fame then that?

@deusvult - Well, it all depends on how much of a mastard your MC is I suppose 
@Interestedparty - Chatty/not is a really interesting choice. I have certain situations (mostly involving Ortega) where you can choose to keep your mouth shut,but the default MC setting is rather talkative. Why? Mostly because it saves me from writing yet another alternative route except when it really matters, but also because it is easier to set the scene when you have a bit of dialog.
As fot the spelling/grammar, I am writing this game in Libreoffice (I don’t have word), but alas a lot of the spelling issues are with the wrong word, like if instead of it and so on. I do know that my grammar still have swedish issues, which is why I normally have two lovely grammar/spellcheckers that read all my stuff (one british/one american). However, I have not asked them yet, mainly because once I am done I will go back and rewrite and fill out each chapter with more exposition, setting and other adjustments. So, in my eyes this is a beta, which means that there will be issues. It is the finished product that will be polished, no use doing thatwork twice.
And Yeah, your choices here at the start will matter in the future and I am dreading once I have to start coding this after the shit has truly hit the fan. Buuut it will be worth it I hope.
@squarelyblue - Gloating is far too fun, isn’t it? And yes, Ortega can ask the MC to the gala, but they will say no since they kinda have to be the villain there and blow it up. There will be options for a legit date later though. If you dare…
@Edgewen - The MC was always a bit of a chatterbox, and getting to play out their darkest dreams like this… yeah, things might be going a bit over the top.

Am i the only one who noticed this detail?
There’s an officer over at the cordon that keeps looking towards the building. Keeps touching his face as if he was trying to pull something off his skin. But it’s only when his hand starts reaching for his holster that you realize that he’s about to lose it.

[spoiler]“I still think we should bring the whole team in.” Anathema is rubbing his hand a little, looking uncharacteristically disturbed.
Then there’s the scene where I made a joke and he didn’t react… It took me three replays to notice that Anathema was already affected by the Mind Controller as soon as the radius got bigger, sure his powers most likely made it that it took longer before he actually started getting… Suicidal but he lost the battle the longer he was in the Mind… Field.
Anyway… I could be wrong but if I’m right, I’d feel REAL smart and genre savvyish as well as the fact that ‘tiny’ detail is pretty awesome on malinryden part.[/spoiler]

All I can say is that my cravings where satisfied by this update That kiss, I didn’t initiate it, my puppet let Ortega choose and he didn’ kiss my puppet he still have feeling for my MC and hooooo! My heart 
The fight scene with Herarld was fun I kinda wanted to torture him physically and mentally but the situation doesn’t allow it maybe some other time 
Nice touch with that cliffhanger with Ortega.
