Fallen Hero: Revelations (WIP) Updated: Feb 07 (new demo links)

Same.

Combine a phobia of dogs with totally justified Sidestep paranoia and you start thinking “Okay what dark secrets and inevitable betrayal is Spoon plotting?”

Considering that #1 Sidestep has huge secrets since the start as well and #2 Julia’s secrets aren’t known to Sidestep until very late in the game, using her having secrets as a reason not to have a relationship is both quite hypocritical and 4th wall breaking?

4th wall breaking can just be covered by paranoia of Sidestep not trusting anyone and constantly being expected to be betrayed.

As for hypocrisy? If you can’t set double standards for yourself and everyone else then what’s the point of being a supervillain?

Making Argent feel bad about her horniness for a mass murdering terrorist/serial killer?

That’s the kind of angst that’s highly amusing for a while. Right up until her moral compass gets the best of her and she bites your dick off.

Much safer to just be forever alone while going full evil…or find a nice lady supervillain like Vera? She hasn’t pulled a gun on me yet or tried to claw my throat out. My Sidestep may be a supervillain and serial killer but that doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate a lady who’s villainous urges would never be directed at him.

It’s called healthy boundaries.

Ehh Malin has implied a few times that she does not like killing or mass killing to be exact. Same with Sky Raider (Though for self preservation reasons instead of moral ones) honesty think the only ro that would be ok with it without some gaslighting involved is Mortum

She still breaks you out unless you are a scummy cheater or have stolen her regenerator from under her nose, or have forced her to kill.

It’s why I joke that Argent’s MO in her romance route is “I can change [them], Ma-Ortega!”

Vera’s route will be interesting, for sure.

You can get booted out from her romance for killing if you are not careful and I was talking about Vera in that post

SMH my head she’s okay with breaking and entering but not mass murdering and or serial killing? What’s supervillainy coming to these days…

Also where has Malin spoken more on Vera? I need to know more about new wife since we’re not likely to get more content featuring her for…a while…

Patreon and the Patreon discord. I’m just talking about this so people won’t get the wrong idea about the new ro’s then get mad at Malin beacause of it

What she cares about is the small community she is taking care of. If she thinks Step will be a threat (Like being a insane indiscriminate mass killer for example) to it she will turn on them

Guess I have no choice but to finally cave and fork over the cash. Though I would never fault Malin for my own deranged take on Sidestep.

Hey now, I’m an insane discriminate mass killer. And serial killer. Professionals have standards.

Malin wouldn’t either since OG book (As in FH before it was a IF a long time ago) Step was a somewhat insane indiscriminate mass killer

In case one wants to read more here is my reddit post which has all the Tumblr posts from Malin about it

Only if you ignore that it goes pretty much against what the game actually tells you, with Sidestep being quite surprised at Ortega’s sneakiness and long-term secret keeping.

In any case, the Sidestep who doesn’t trust anyone consequently wouldn’t be willing to form a relationship with anyone, on the same exact grounds. Meaning Vera is out, too. Otherwise, it’s going to get really silly trying to excuse “no see, this person i won’t get together with because i don’t trust anyone, but this other person who i also don’t trust at all? Ah, they’re fine.”

You don’t need to be supervillain to act hypocritical but even if you are it doesn’t eliminate actual hypocrisy.

I can be both surprised by the sneakiness and use it to reinforce my paranoia of “See? You really can’t trust anyone. Even the ones who shouldn’t be sneaky at all. You really can’t trust anyone this is so sad let’s kill everyone.”

It’s called being in love (lust?) and ignoring every red flag and shred of good sense possible as a result. A proud tradition of CoGites.

You don’t need it but you are being hypocritical with style :sunglasses:

And as a mass murdering maniac, anyone who disagrees gets moved to the top of the list.

Sure, but then you could use the same logic to justify getting it on with any other of the ROs. So again, nothing but double standard to rationalize i don’t know, personal preference, i guess?

You’re taking this way more serious than I am with my deliberately nonsensical and absurdist responses.

I mean…There might be a justification for it.
One of Sidestep’s biggest fears is for their inhumanity to come out and subsequently be reviled by those they wanted to see them as a human being, worthy of respect and care.
Seeing Vera work on busting them out, or hell even noticing her trusting, accepting and working with another Re-Gene whose ‘monstruosity’ is much more open, and who wholeheartedly trusts her back…just might be the incentive they need to open up.

Sidestep doesn’t even call themselves human. I’m not even sure they are yet capable of having a hope of being seen as “human” and instead, with the help of the cool machine, want to be able to permanently fake it.

And given attitudes towards regenes and what The Farm intends? They’re very much justified in being extremely paranoid.

Maybe removing the tattoos will help them feel human. Some day. I don’t think it happened right away.

In the most delicate way possible: So much of the story and especially Sidestep make way more sense when viewed through a trans lens.

I’m cis but a lot of it is very apparent to me.

So I absolutely see Sidestep getting humanity affirming surgery and that helps them feel more human.
