Fallen Hero: Retribution release thread! (Book Two) (Spoilers Inside!)

Its not that I hate them…Its just that I love hitting them in the face too much

I know right? I mean, we can’t punch ourselves! But hey someone who look like us would do!

I generally dont play unfinished games. I dont play demos, I don’t play early access. I prefer to retain the sense of mystery and explore stuff properly when the game comes out.

I also hate HG too. He’s the one who tried to kill the puppet (I really thought I was going to lose the puppet forever). And also HG is the reason why Sidestep got into the car crash and his regene status revealed. The car crash event is inevitable and it gives me an impending sense of doom. I always send the puppet to HG because I really don’t like revealing my status while the work isn’t complete.
The only reason I intentionally get caught by HG is because I love being rescued by Ortega. Lol.
And of course, the Rat King.

So crazy theory before I do one more run than head for bed lol (Its 4am here).

Anyone think that Ace just set us up to get a hold of a better body with better powers for themself? I don’t know. The meeting they had with Shroud, them knowing they were going to die and the threat before their mind got eaten by shroud? just blare like a red flag in my mind. I mean who does that? Who say those things? Someone who know and willingly walked to their death knowing it wont be permanent. Then there is the fact, of all the bodies…we found that one. And worked so good for us. The only issue is, Shroud powers arent supposed to leave anything of someone when they eat their mind. So what give? Did Ace do something in preparation to this?

Let just say I’m not someone who believe in coincidence. Nothing just ‘Happen’, its rarely like that.

That would have been such a 4D chess move if true

Nah they’re on my shitlist, big time. Literally one of the few people my Step would break the no-kill rule for (although she may not have to if Ortega gets there first).

I think that’s too far for their precog powers, honestly. I think Ace just got in over their head, abused their power in the wrong casino, and almost died. What they plan to do now (assuming that’s them… DUN DUN DUN) is anybody’s guess.

If there is one thing I learn while playing these games is that there is no such thing as coincidence…Somewhere, somehow, someone gets exactly what they want…

Hmmm see thats why I have doubts.

Shroud believed that, just like shroud believed that she never leave anything from someone mind once she eat it. Yet, we have proof that your puppet become actives when you are not in there! That shouldn’t happen! Shroud supposedly eaten Ace brain and nothing was left. So why would your puppet Mumble when you aren’t around?

Its hard to imagine the Heartbreak being the one taking over your body. The last communication the puppet (Or your body) does, show someone who planned this. Everyting worked out for them or whatever. Its weird. The HB was someone seeking death. Whatever residue they may have left in the MC, I think it show itself elsewhere but not in this.

I got pure as snow achievement really proud of that didnt think i would be able to keep it under wraps after that mess.

Btw how did chen suspect that we are villian? Where do what options caused that to happen can anyone elaborate please?

Also i love this game just did my 1st run yet there is so much more to explore this will keep me entertained for a few weekends i dont know if i should say this but man this book outdid its predecessor by huge margins i mean previous book was great but this one is something else.

all right, here some homework for you nerds who like to play with stats and look at the stats screen (I never do :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:). But what the hell decide if your body get snatched in the end? one run I end up in my own body and it isn’t stolen. The next, I’m stuck in the puppet? What Give? Lol anyone know what make that final dreadfull?

That is dependent on a stat called pcv (puppet comfort value) that you choose over the course of retribution. Anytime you are prompted to use the puppet, it’s usually three choices like 1. I go into my puppet, and it’s really cool I love being the puppet 2. Meh whatever 3. I hate this but I have to. If you pick choices about liking to be the puppet, your pcv raises and you are more likely to end up in that body. If you pick choices about how the puppet is a tool/expendable/etc. you are more likely to end up in the original body

well I’ll be damned! Bless you bobsmyuncle! For explaining to me in terms I actually understand! and here I though this whole time there was that Mirror scene and that maybe who attend HG meeting is what decide that.

So glad I was wrong lol

I believe both those scenes contribute to pcv, but they aren’t the only ones

So…if I don’t want my body stolen, for those 2 scenes? I go to the meeting myself and in the Mirror, also pick my MC and not the puppet?

I went to the meeting as the puppet, and didn’t pick either one of the mirrors, and ended up in my own body, so not necessarily, no.

Honestly, with everyone claiming the Heartbreak is the one who stole your body? I was hoping if you pick the 3rd option it mean it will show you the Heartbreak. (Or at least…someone else. Anathema? HG?)

This guide should help, it has a list of choices that increment PCV

I don’t want the ending where Sidestep is outed as a Regene/villain against their will, I want the dramatic reveal myself. So by sending the puppet to HG I avoid that. In the mirror dream scene, I always pick the black mirror to destroy. And throughout the game I choose choices that I don’t like being the puppet, and so I get the ending as myself rather than Ace

Sniff You giving me homework as I head to bed? Pffff…meany :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I’m out! Remember to keep blurring spoilers everyone! and Goodnight!

I have to say that whenever i play FH, blasting at full volume Cyberpunk 2077 ambience soundtracks is a must. I don’t know why but the vibe of the world is just so similar and fitting.

Big and wild technologically advanced city, modded criminals and mercenaries, no government regulations with powerful corporations, ridiculous amount of criminality and violence, etc…

If it wasn’t a superhero game i would consider this series in the Cyberpunk genre world
