IMO Sidestep and Argent flirting should be awkward as hell, because they have no relevant experience and are basically puzzling stuff like “how to flirt” out as they go.

Actually Argent has flirted with other villains besides Step it’s just that Step is the only that can go past just flirting which is where things started getting awkward

It’s the first time she’s been serious enough to do anything like the helmet kiss, though. IIRC, it’s the first time Ortega’s put her on the fridge, the first time Steel’s really had to deal with it, etc.

I recommend you stay on the crowd of politicians and try to sow doubt in Blaze’s mind if you want some more rat king love. You just have to give in and fall.
I hear you brother, I also wish there was a way to get Deveraux killed without you outing yourself, playing as a hidden telepathy/secret killer is my favourite way of playing, because even if someone (like Chen) realizes you are at the center of all of the death and accidents, they can’t do anything since there’s no way to prove you did anything. And besides, the very “kill politicians” path expresses that you keep the kill from being related to you and try to act in the shadows, which is another reason I don’t like having to kill before to access it, but oh well.
Yeah, just to add a couple things to Rebirth, such as gifting Argent your cape or reactions to the name Heartbreak. I’m not sure what more there’ll be in terms of content, but some more bug fixing and it should be all well.

It doesn’t come across as awkward between the characters, it comes across as awkward to the reader. The Chen and MC dog park conversation is a good example of final draft writing that captures two characters trying to do something (“be nice”) that neither of them are naturals at. The bridge exchange feels like a good idea that needs one more writing pass to accurately capture what the author was going for.
And I say that with lightest critique. The amount of writing and variables accomplished by one gamedev here is staggering, and I’m only pointing to this as one spot to look at when doing any kind of editing for a future patch.

P.S. @malinryden I was absolutely delighted at the idea that the MC might get the Rat King their own suit. It immediately brought me to mind of the time the castle mice in Voltron got their own robot suit to utilize. This will forever be how I imagine a Rat King armor working.

Picking *if (prepare_them) #"Just helping certain people shed some dead weight."or *if ((motivation = “revenge”) or (heartbreak_scar = “revenge”)) #“They won’t get away with this. Not again.” with no kills. Also picking *if (motivation = “justice”) #“I need to set things right. Get the truth out.” which gets you it regardless of your kill flags. There is also being a thief and giving away your loot to charity with no massacre flag and <= 65 infamy.

What do you guys think will be like the threshold for getting the most benefit out of our political influence? Like, the maximum I’ve managed to get is 83% with speed upgrade, justice motivation and just pushing for politics everytime, but I wonder if maybe I could get away with a bit less and still get the total victory I want.

I know it may be kinda late, but to make sure - you absolutely can kill Blaze and commit any number of murderhobo atrocities EXCEPT getting massacre flag and end up being rescued by romanced/confidante Steel after reveal. Checked this on my bloodthirsty steelmancer route, we even kissed in the end despite MC being a horrible person (he can fix me).

He considered my bloodthirsty MC his nemesis when he found out xD

Iirc Herald can see a no-kill MC as nemesis if your suit scared him and you didn’t override it with humiliation flag so yeah, he’s not as chill xD
Steel’s understanding makes sense, with him being a soldier and Sidestep waging a war. But yeah, I was also impressed, shocked even. Didn’t expect him to actually rescue my Sidestep in this scenario.
