It’s not that it focuses on that more than the others. Like I said it’s more, he puts more stalk in it than the others. Ortega and Argen are on his level…he just believes in winking at the camera more. He’s doesn’t realize you can’t smile a fist away…
Ortega on the other hand has become more mature and Argent…well yeah.
Hell the reason the public believes he and Argent are in a relationship, is because they are both young and attractive. Well the public and Herald believe they are…he’s not that bright.
I wonder if the MC could be as attractive as the puppet if they actually cared about their looks and not neglected it. They keep saying they’re average but it could be because they hate their body and think they’re uglier than they really are
It is said that Herald is an icon, like the camera love him. By today’s standard I assume he would be the crush of a lot (as in A LOT) of teens around the world. I’m pretty sure the puppet is pretty much equally attractive, just a bit more discreet
You know like Malin wrote at the beginning the puppet is that type of stunning person you automatically associate with the type that makes the cover of the magasine, and that you forget because of it
I believe that MC could be really attractive (same as your puppet I don’t know but your puppet is supposed to be super attractive) but they would have to adopt a more confident personality also
Your personality seemed really confident when you wore the villain suit though. You walked there scaring everyone and beating the heroes like Herald like they were a joke while without the suit you got scared every time you talked with Ortega.
Yeah exactly to emphasize like Chain said, MC is insecure about both his “potential”, like how he could be if he cut himself some slack and realize they were not that unattractive , and both about his attitude when he/she is naked, like without the suit. And insecure people are usually less attractive which create some kind of vicious cycle for the MC
Again, considering the you can make the puppet look like the mc in their SideStep days enough to fool Ortega at first glance it again stands to reason that the mc in their SideStep days was on the same level.
Well they are a bit older now and not all the damage to their body may be completely reversible anymore, but I think they could still easily go for handsome/distinguished if something happened that would want to make them care about their real body and get over their loathing of it again.
Depending on what can be done with cosmetic work and money in this universe it could go even further, but I wouldn’t go that far as drawing that much attention to themselves doesn’t seem to be or have been in the mc’s character at any time particularly if they need to hide distinguishing re-gene marks from doctors and surgeons .
The way I read it the good dr. Mortem has likely had a lot of cosmetic work done in addition to the likely gender change, provided I’m correctly reading their bitterness over their ugly-duckling teenage/young adult years. But again going that far even if they have the money for it doesn’t seem to ever have been in the mc’s character so it would take a lot of character development for them to even consider going that route to address their body issues.
Younger mc could and likely was as SideStep they’re a bit older now and the years and maybe the Farm after the recapture too have probably done a number. But even if they can’t recapture SideStep’s potential cover model glory any longer, like I said, I think the mc could still become handsome in a more distinguished way, at worst, if they really tried.
Yep, which is why he’s my mc’s "rival’ as he seemingly effortlessly became everything the mc once tried to become as SideStep but couldn’t quite succeed at due to the Farm and Farm treatment re-gene related prejudices and legal issues related psychological and possible physical damage.
I wonder how did nobody ever see the MC naked though (or without a shirt at least). You had your suit usually but if you got injured as a hero wouldn’t the doctors see you naked? I guess the MC probably used telepathy to erase their memory or something like that but your telepathy was said to be weaker than it is now
Well to each is own, I guess, I believe there is a lot of potential for the look of the MC but since I believe the theory saying that MC is a creation made for infiltration I choose a MC kind of average, that can pass as really handsome and really neutral depending on the situation☺️
But I love your take on the Herald nemesis I did not do it yet I believe I’ll take that approach as well
Thinking about it since your telepathy doesn’t work on Ortega if they saw you naked you’d be spotted immediately. So I guess that’s why the MC was against an intimate relationship and wanted to take it slow
Maybe not the camera per se,but the fact it was easy for H, since he never has anything to Hyde and therefor just had to be him for everyone to like him. Since MC is afraid what people would think of their real self it could make sense that they were jealous of that in Herald
I just had a thought that Ortega may be
referencing Hollow Ground, too. Maybe. Though their powers haven’t been fully confirmed. During tge gala, herald and argent say that Ortega did think that the mind jacking was somehow connected to Hollow Ground.

Well yeah they are jealous of what they have. But they never tried to be what they are, is what I’m saying. From what we can gather they were always aloof. It’s not to say they don’t wonder or wish for similar things, but I was saying the never tried to be like Herald.
If anything Herald probably spent part of their life being like Sidestep.
