It’s hard to imagine the Mc and steel on good terms, I see why Malin was somewhat reluctant with the romance idea.(for my MC and steel)
I like to imagine he’s ridiculously creative. When no one’s around he doodles in his handy dandy notebook. Sometimes I imagine he’s a phenomenal dancer and when he has the time (and isn’t beat up) he plays his favorite songs and just loses himself in the movements. Still holding tightly to control he’s known for but free in a way he can’t be any other time.
funny that you mention that cause that’s what Steel did in my sims four game all the time, I would randomly just find him jamming in the living room.
I think Steel and the MC could be possible. Steel doesn’t trust the MC and that has a lot to do with our MC wearing a mask. Why would a hero need a mask kinda thinking. Well if you picked the option to tell Ortega the truth (a fraction of it at least) and he tells Steel that part when he “fills him in” then I can see something growing from there. To have people hunting us and STILL choosing to go out and become a hero when hiding and/or running would be such an easier option is something I imagine he’d respect. I mean that’s a pretty big deal and takes a certain kind of person.

That’s what I was thinking in terms of Steel and MC’s relationship. A grudging respect that slowly builds into a sort of friendship. The only reason I agreed with anyone on the romance angle between the two was because it would make Ortega hella jealous.
After they become friends the MC finds out Steel, underneath that cold exterior, is a little shit and they band together to see who can get Ortega to bust a blood vessel first. Pulling pranks that nobody will ever believe they did because:

Also if you named yourself Sidestep you’d see shirts with Sidestep and your villain photo everywhere and some would even say you’re better than the original Sidestep. The heroes will get so mad
Can you imagine the MC arriving at a scene with their badass super villain suit on, ready to spread some chaos and overall terrorize the general population but the people there, instead of cowering in fear, turn out to be part of their fan club?

Guys you do realize what this is making me think of cause since we have no idea how old Herald is did anyone stop to think that he might at least be ten years younger than the MC? So now I’m just picturing him Pre-boost being that adorable little nerd in high school who his parents feed his addiction of buying unofficial Sidestep memorabilia and watching the videos of Charge and Sidestep in a fight while his friends are flipping over Ortega he is like. “ARe you joking?! Sidestep totally set that up for him/her!” Might have even snuck out of school once to try and catch the tail end of villain vs hero battle?
And doing that Sidestep saves him?! LIke Sidestep doesn’t even remember this cause they got Civilians out of the way of danger all the time so this teen didn’t really stick but this was like the greatest day of Heralds life?!
