I chose option 3, which was to get in his face with words about being unprofessional. I should hope anyone in any type of law enforcement service knows to be respectful. If not polite, then at the very least tolerant of the many varied individuals who might be in their stations/offices for various reasons. Including a reason as innocent as the pickup of family members, which is a big part of why I practically saw red when he did that. Oo, I hope he learns some actual manners by the end of this story!
I normally choose option one, though admittedly, if each option gives flirt points, that’s more because I want the maximum flirt points with Quinn.
Only the first option gives flirt points, and that’s only because Quinn is totally taken off-guard by MC’s fierce reaction (in a positive way).
One or two flirt points won’t change much though, so if you chose an other option here, don’t worry about it, really (although it’s always fun to discover every option, at least for me).
At the end (and during the story), the flirt points will only change how the ROs will react to certain happenings, and when the MC chooses who to romance for the rest of the story (around the end of book 1). So you will be able to choose any of the 3 ROs, even if you have 0 flirt points with them, it’s just that their reactions will be much different that way The same goes for the relationship score.
So, something like, if you don’t flirt with one person, and then chose to romance them, something like they’ll be surprised? Something to that affect?
Also, I still like option one.
Yes, it’s gonna be something like that
HAHAHA
I love the texts
the one w/ roga killed meh
I love all of them
Found this after replaying the demo just so I can take a guess in your tumblr ask.
I believe I picked the second choice before this with the so-so family relationship.
Ah crap this is like the third time I forgot to put the $ before the “is”… I did it now, thanks
Haha I’m curious about your guesses
I’m loving the game and there’s so much of it already! It’d be great if the ro gender for bisexual was randomised with a *rand instead of set different according to mc gender though.
I love the texting images btw!
This game’s good…very good. I absolutely loved that texting segment. Can’t wait for more chapters…
The reason it’s not randomized is because Roga and Quinn are always the same gender because of story reasons. So after that, there really wasn’t any point to make it random I think
I’m happy you are enjoying the story so far!!!
Loved the new update! Also I think the phone related features are really cool
Could someone be so kind and explain what the 2 demos are about? Im sorry because somewhere someone sure already asked. But how do I play the second and why are there two? Did you rewrite it or something
The first demo has the first 4 chapters completed. It is done, it probably won’t change much so everyone who doesn’t like cliffhangers and unfinished scenes can read that.
Demo 2 is an ongoing project which I am working on currently, it includes Demo1 (meaning the first 4 chapters) and right now the first half of chapter 5. I am writing it constantly and try to bring you half a chapter every week. At the end, it will probably include chapters 1-8. That’s the difference
So basically:
Demo 1: chapters 1-4 completed
Demo 2: will be chapters 1-8, currently at chapter 5 and not complete
The link is up there in the topic description If you don’t mind waiting every week for updates, then you can just go for Demo 2. Otherwise you can read Demo1 now and then wait a few months until Demo2 will be completed
Ahh thank you very much
Ah, I understand. Though I do prefer being able to choose ro gender or at least have the option to “roll the dice” till I get the one I want without having to choose a sexual identity other than bisexual, because even being bisexual sometimes I prefer to romance certain characters as certain gender. So the current set up would mean I wouldn’t be able to play as bisexual and also romance other characters in any other gender than M F F. It feels like a compromise to my sexual identity to have to choose gay to have the siblings be male instead of female.
I’m sorry if I misunderstood your point in some way but I’m going to respond with what I have understood so far. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t being a bisexual having sexual attraction to the male and female genders? If that so, you can experience it in the game.
And just like @vara said, there’s a reason why Roga and Quinn are of same gender.
And in my opinion, making it random might increase the odds of F-F-F and M-M-M as the siblings are always of the same gender for story reasons.
I’m sorry if I misunderstood your point tho. Thank youuuu
Uhm yeah, I mean, I see your point but what would you want me to do? I could put an other choice after the bisexual option saying: “but what gender are you MORE attracted to?”
But… I mean… wouldn’t that be more offending? I don’t know, I really don’t know what to say
Being bisexual doesn’t necessarily mean that gender becomes a complete non-factor. Sel is saying he’d prefer that the siblings in particular be male, and right now the only way to do with a male MC is to make said MC gay.
If you’re interested in changing this, you could do that by letting the player pick Atin and Roga’s genders independent of sexuality (which would implicitly determine Quinn’s as well)—this would be my preference as well, for what it’s worth. Alternatively, if you still want RO gender to be determined by sexuality, you can randomize it such that if you pick bisexual, you’ll either get a M/F/F distribution or a F/M/M distribution, without making the RO genders dependent on the MC’s gender (which is honestly a weird decision IMO). The siblings are still the same gender in both scenarios.
It’s up to you, of course, but this really isn’t that complicated, and both methods would be an easy way to make the gender distribution feel less limited and arbitrary.
I honestly think you are waaaay overthinking this. The question of your MC’s sexuality will never come up again in the book. Nobody will talk about it, nobody will even mention it. The only purpose of that choice was to determine the gender of the ROs. THAT’S IT. Female bisexual MCs get 2 men and 1 woman, male MCs get 2 women and 1 man. I came to that decision by thinking super hard on it and flipping a coin. Because, you know, I can’t really distribute 3 in an equal way now can I? I think I’m being as fair as I can here. And I’ve seen other books doing this too, so I don’t think it’s that weird of a decision.
Sure, I can try and figure out a way to make genders random and still keep the siblings’ the same. Maybe it’s easy for you, but this is my first time writing interactive fiction and for me it will probably take hours, if not days, to do so, not to mention the testing afterwards. So I am not willing to do that right now. I will probably come back to this question when the whole game will be open to beta testing, because until then, I am going to concentrate on the actual story, which is I think what the majority wants.
