@Zest I got the same question about MC’s survival on the tumblr blog, so I’ll just copy/paste my answer from there:
I looked it up in preparation, and apparently it was not only super common for people to survive being hanged, but there are also a lot of people who survived being shot (which the MC didn’t, but hey). The human body, in all its organic patheticness, is really resilient sometimes.
That being said… MC surviving their execution will certainly contribute to their mythos (both positively and negatively)!
@Cornelliau No. I excluded all left-wing political movements (apart from Nikola’s pseudo-Anarchists maybe? They are modeled after the most reactionary parts of the Makhnovchina, going into Greens territory ideologically) from my worldbuilding to allow myself to write more neutrally.

Including the Romanovs too! Well, initially. The children had jewels like diamonds sewn into their clothing which provided some degree of protection from the first round of shooting.

I would love that maniac mc, who genuinely loves them, is sad that he didn’t get to kill his family.
NGL this feels… weird, for a game based on one of if not the most famous leftist revolutions in human history. Seems strange to use the setting while scrubbing the leftists out.

I tried to play, but got stuck in the wardrobe section and it won’t let me out. Just a loop going back to the winter wardrobe over and over. There was no end to it, no way to be done with it even after choosing options for every section. If this gets resolved I will try to play again
Did you try the bottom option “go back” or something similar? That worked for me.
@apple I can guarantee you that people would not’ve been happy with what this IF would’ve become if I didn’t exclude Leftism in general. I used to have framed portaits of Dzierżyński and Hoxha over my desk for years.
@FabulousBlasphemer I’m not sure why this happens, but looping back even if Go back is chosen seems to happen if you didn’t choose a Top or Bottom clothing item. At least one of them is required (the other one will be filled automatically if empty upon exiting). Can’t run around naked.
If you encounter this despite having chosen a Top or Bottom item, please tell me; though the general wardrobe will be replaced by a slimmed-down version in this specific scene anyway, because people complained the silly options (cat ears) didn’t fit the atmosphere (they’ll still be available if you access wardrobe via statmenu).

I did indeed choose a top and bottom, as well as all the other options. I even tried choosing different types of clothing options per category and still was stuck in that loop

Maybe it’s a silly question, but have you tried clicking the “Go back” option? It’s just that I played almost all the routes, as a male, female and non-binary character and different character settings and I didn’t have this problem.
And I can choose the “Go back” option, even if I didn’t choose anything from the clothes, and continue the story.
Super rare we get to play as a sociopath protagonist here, even if it’s not entirely accurate.
Gonna enjoy this when more updates come out.

So I decided to play again as a Prince who is sadistic and not only was it fun to be a merciless monster, it was also fun to make that one guy realize he’s not straight
