Okay. I get that this was payback for what I said in that other forum. So, touché.

Alright guys, take it easy and enjoy the updated game. Anyone else who wants a link can always let me know here or by messaging me.

The Dragon is reflected in the legends and culture of the setting… although I guess there’s always “Choice of the Dragon” if you want to play as a Dragon.

Ew! I rather play Starfield (even though I don’t have it) than play Choice of Dragon… Actually, nevermind. Starfield is still worst somehow.

Well, sound interesting, i have some experience testing for CoG and even outside of it althrought its primarily slitherine and matrix games as community beta than anything like job, so i figure i can help since i have some time to kill.

So if you still want some more people to look over it ? send me a link.

i will test the game.

I would like to try it thanks

Ok, I’ve sent out another round of messages. As usual, nudge me again if I do not respond to you within 48 hours.

If you folks have any comments/feedback on the updates, please feel free to put them here on the thread.

@ChanceOfFire can i try the game?

I would also like to try the game! I usually play around with stats and read the code, so I can let you know if there is an error or something along the lines, I can probably also give low level feedback, I have never really tried giving high level though.

There’s a new update?!! I’d like to see and try new features.

For a game that is about to enter into a competition, this one sure is awesome. The game was already awesome without the update, but like I predicted, the new features only makes it better. It is also extremely refreshing to know that, I won’t have to wait for a sequel that will probably never come. I often wonder why authors even bother with such massive projects in the first place. Ah well, congratulations and thanks for bringing us this great game.

Can I get an access to your game please?

i would like to play this but cant find the link ^^

Yep. The link you received should still work.

Thanks. This was mainly a fun hobby for me, although I’m really happy to see that people have enjoyed this. Words like these give writers the motivation to keep going.

The link will not be provided on a public space. I will reach out to you privately.

I will reach out to you privately as well.

Sounds pretty cool. Would love to check it out

I’ve reached out.

On another note, I’m planning to do one more major revision in Jan or Feb next year, which will likely be the final one, I think I’ve already picked the community’s brains for most of the major feedback points already… but if anyone has anything to add, always feel free to say something.

After that, it is straight to the comp. I’ll put up a public link on April 1st, barring unforeseen circumstances.

@ChanceOfFire This made me intrigued, can I request the demo link?

My feedback:

The story is unique on itself, steampunk and medieval mix (I think?) are a kind of rare on this site so it’s great that one managed to create one. Although, the world building is kind of… meh. No offense though, its good but some people who liked world building will say that it needs improvement. I would encourage to improve the world building a bit, not like Kingdoms and Empires kind of thing.

The gameplay is good too, liked the style where you choose tactics to defeat your enemies. But something is bugging me, and is that there is a lack of enemies. Yes there are a lot if you made an all-out fight them enemies playthrough, but I will say that maybe add 2 or 3 new enemies.

Writing is, good in its own way. Its short on some parts so it doesn’t help to establish the imagination of the reader. Maybe add a few details to set off the place or atmosphere and it will be good.

Overall, truly good game with some downsides that can be improved through the time. Please take my recommendations at a grain of salt as you probably have your own ideas. Anyway, it would be a 7.2/10.

Thanks for taking a look, and for the feedback. It’s probably a little hard to overhaul the minimal writing style for the current game at this point, but I’ve received similar feedback from a few others and will probably take this into account for future projects.

I am considering another plan to introduce more sidequests post-comp, which would include additional battles, but that will be a decision for another time.

Thanks again.
