Okay so I voted don’t care and yes, but it really depends on what you want to write. Are the NPC’s going to react at all to our cosmetic choices, or are we always generically handsome, for example, and is that the full extent of their reaction to our appearance, possibly leaving our outfit aside?
If you don’t want to write it and the npc’s aren’t going to really react to our body type or idiosyncratic physical characteristics then skip them and let us imagine our mc’s for ourselves.
This is true and with your accepting world and accommodating inheritance system you’ve taken out the greatest objection I usually have to playing (former) aristo characters, namely being forced to marry a woman and have offspring with her (owning slaves would be the other big one).
To be fair that need not always be the primary struggle for aristo mc’s. For example in the gender-utopian Myrmidon the aristo path focuses more on courting the royal sibling of your choice and then staving off the pending revolution by improving the lot of the kingdom.
So I wanted to have some legitimate status news before I posted anything and this morning I hit a rather wonderful breakthrough. I started learning CS when I posted this thread so it’s been slow going trying to write, code and debug but it seems that I have all the code I need in place in order to finish out the first showing of this project!
Now I just need to fill in the writing part, which should go much smoother now that everything is in place, and will hopefully be able to make the link public this weekend (fingers crossed) A big thank you to @ParrotWatcher for fielding a lot of my silly questions in trying to get this to work and to @anon57826008 for being my little cheerleader and catching some of my mistakes for me

This first part is just going to cover building your MC, since I wanted to really make this about inclusion I want to get feedback on that before I lose my will to live writing out the RO introduction part
Of course, so many in this community have been really helpful and supportive of this and it’s made me feel so great and determined to see this through, I don’t plan on giving up on this, it’s just a large undertaking for a first project
