Also sorry for doing it like this, the demo and my current files are different from each other and one bug fix just resulted in a chain of bugs.
Edit: Also it seems like the background music isnāt playing anymore because of issues with Dropbox. Looks like Iāll have to find an alternative. Sorry about that!

It was playing in my first play through
Hello! Just to clarify, Iām talking about the MWCaPH! demo, not IAC (although itās probably in danger too). Did you try it just now? The flashback sound is still playing, but not the music.
I received a notice from Dropbox yesterday and I didnāt see it until now. Either way, Iāll try to replace them with something more reliable as soon as I can. Iām just not in a good headspace right now.

THIS IS SO COOL!! For a moment, though I knew this was like aā¦side story to the main story, aptly named a sidequel, I was confused as heck. But then once we reached the cliffhanger, everything added up. Especially since I replayed MWCAPH again, the main charactersā names in that can be the same as in this and omg thatās a trip in a half tbh!! This was incredibly well done!!

Thereās actually quite a few references to MWCaPH! Thereās the bedtime story of course, but in case you didnāt noticeā¦ Julie, Wayne, and Roselyna actually have cameos in the story. Oh, and the cover art for MWCaPH! is based on the school bus battle in IAC too.
Anyway, I forgot to add this to the announcement post, but Iāve got a new sideblog for IAC! This is where Iāll be posting the spoilers and sneak peeks (instead of the main blog) from now on.

While Dear Diary is more suitable, isnt it a longer title now than earlier
I hope you get to feeling better. I know how demoralizing not getting feedback and such has been for you (so much so that it makes me cry), but I hope you know that there are people who really do like the story but stay quiet. I know that it still sucks, but it does mean that they are satisfied with how youāre going with it and just want more. I donāt know what itās worth, but Iāve been here reading each update since the original 2015 version. Itās an adorable story and I would love to see more. Iāve tried to offer the support I can with hearts and feel guilty because I know itās not what you want, but Iām not a feedback giver. Like itās not in my skill set. Still, youāve done so much with the customization, with the relationships, really with the coding language as a whole. Itās an incredible project and all of your work shows.
Iām sorry it went this way for you. Again, I really hope you get to feeling better. 
Now to recover from crying because Iām far too empathetic not to.

For me, itās really the little details and the creative artworks that you made for your story that put a smile on my face while reading it. Plus there is not a lot of stories out there that let you play as a child, and finishing and publishing it would be so cool

Dude. This game is absolutely sick.
Iāve played quite a few WIPs/COGs, and this one was just soā¦ unique! First off, there are SO many elements that just elevate it to a whole different level (e.g. the music, the actual sound effects when you pick certain choices, the animated cover art at the top of the forum thread, whatt - the background color changes to signify different kinds of text, the pictures that indicate stat changes etc.)
And then the writing. Itās just so well-written I could cry. Plus, itās light-hearted too, and spliced with humour, and the tone just fits the theme/game to a T.
And finally, the way you deal with pretty deep themes within the bounds of your game is something I really want to bring to the WIP Iām working on, particularly on family relationships, memories of oneās childhood, and how both affect the kind of traits we pick up.
All in all, I really enjoyed the game, and please do rest well and take care!

So I just finished IAC.
I just wanted to say that I think this did a fantastic job of showing your style. Itās harder to tell in DDWCaPH since the real story hasnāt started yet, but I love it. The way you played with everything, like the formatting the choices was very fun. And your sense of humor was fantastic and I found it very funny. Your usage of fourth wall breaking was better than Iāve ever seen. Way more in tune with tropes and the story itself than any other attempt Iāve come across. Thatās saying a lot given how easy it is to fuck it up and for that sort of humor to be cringey. Also, got to be a vampire and thatās an automatic +500 points for me. Also (again), the UI was beautiful. Very mature
I hope you get to feeling better over everything. You have something unique and wonderful to share, and Iād love to see more, whatever story or direction you go.

Happy Birthday to my little goobers!
Itās February 28! That means itās Roselynaās 14th birthday (and Wayneās 3.5th) today, but theyāve been living in my head for about 6 years now.
I neither have the time nor the energy to draw something new for these two gremlins, so hereās some old watercolor character design studies (and some 3D art) I made for them several years ago. Heehee.
Thank you Tommy and Prim for everything. For giving me the inspiration to draw and write, for making me feel like a kid again. I know you two are far from the most behaved children ever (I know all your secrets and the stupid things both of you did when you were eight and nine), but youāll always be my favorite.

" Her shawl?" Uncle asks, suddenly breaking character. āWow, who do you think made all of them?ā
āAnd thatās why youāre wearing them now?ā
He drapes the hanging ends of the shawl around his neck. āWell, I heard you calling for her. Guess I still need to work on my Mommy Julie impressionā¦ā He scratches his head and steps aside to let us enter. āHowāre my big babies doing today?ā

Yup, itās a shame that there arenāt many light-hearted stories around here. And yes, the themes are very important to the story and I wanted to make sure that each character has a different family dynamic.

Iām very glad you found IAC funny and that you found the style to your liking. It doesnāt have much slice-of-life elements, but if you liked IAC, youāre going to love the rest of DDWCaPH! as well. And thatās just the beginning, thereās a lot more I havenāt revealed yet.
I actually donāt like blatant fourth wall breaking very much, so I prefer to use it as a story element like itās a part of the worldbuilding rather than the narrator talking to the reader directly, which destroys the immersion and gets annoying eventually.
And yes, vampires. Hehe.

Of course! Iām so glad I finally got around to playing your WIP! It felt very much like a cup of hot chocolate - definitely reminded me of childhood
