Thank you for this clarification! I was afraid that having defend Mr Blanchand too well would make it look suspicious to Inspector Burgin. XD
I have another little question too: while looking at the script to see how Hartmann’s engagement proposal is when he’s not rebellious, I noticed that the text also changes if MC is romancelocked with him or not. And looking deeper, I noticed that you have to have flirted/slept with someone else, and then say when Hartmann asks for an explanation that MC wants to be with him and only him for the romancelocked to be true.
My MC having never flirted or slept with anyone other than Hartmann at all, this means that the poor is not really sure that MC is committed to the relationship, considering that he seems less sure of himself (even if he is rebellious) in the non-romancelocked engagement proposal?
This is true! I ended up having the romance-lock only in Chapter 10 when getting engaged/committing, unless you have a serious conversation about where you’re at beforehand (which only happens if they notice you flirting/kissing someone else). But you can still get engaged They’re just anxious and an overthinker in general!
(If I was doing it again I might include a relationship-checkin conversation before Chapter 10 no matter what, but there was so much branching going on with romance/plot/pacing, and characters can get together at such different times, that it wasn’t really possible when writing at the time.)
I just finished my playthrough in preparation for Royal Affairs. Please note, this summary uses the pronouns that apply to my play through.
I played as Themis Manase who was sent to Gallatin after her parents embezzled money. No matter what, she strived to hold up justice and remain calm in the face of adversity. She befriended Eugene Hartmann and Zuri Gonzales and even danced with Hartmann at the Hearthlight Ball. Eugene and Themis’ relationship never developed beyond partners within the prefect committee though.
Despite the expectation to marry well, Themis couldn’t deny her feelings towards Emil Karson. During the summer, she decided to spend the holiday with Karson and his family, at which point, Karson proposed. In the future, Themis will be teaching at Gallatin.
I see, thank you for the clarification! I totally understand that it’s really complicated with so much branching.
For the fate of Lady Renaldt, I have received a letter from Inspector Burgin which says that she is removed from Gallatin and is facing criminal charges. This means that she will go to prison?
Yes. Which means that Mr Griffith/Mr Blanchard/Miss Dalca will take over, unless you manage to get Gallatin closed. Then you get a new headmaster in Ms Vogel.
If lady renaldt get arrested then it will be what zhirzzh said because like what is there for them, when they mom got arrested, they wealth and everything they owed was confiscated, seeing as it was earned on the sufffering of people
It feels like Crème de la Crème has been both out for forever and hardly any time at all. I never expected it to do so well (it’s so funny to think that I was nervous that it would be a big departure from my earlier games, and that I was concerned about it not being as magical or action-heavy as other popular games) or for people to still be talking about it and its sequels for this long afterwards! I’m not overstating when I say it’s changed my career and life in the best of ways.
I’m so grateful to all of you for the enthusiasm and joy you bring to the worlds and stories I’ve made. Thank you so, so much, and I’m massively excited for the next thing I’m doing!
Congratulations! If I am not wrong, Creme was my very first game downloaded from CoG. Not being as action-heavy is actually a good thing though. If not for the better than expected success of Creme, there would be no Royal Affairs and no Hotsprings to speak of. Moreover, this would be the jumping off point and inspiration for my current project. People who know me should know what to expect from that one.
I’m so thankful for you, as the producer of this game, for constructing and developing a good foundation for a good game- the worlds, the stories, the like. Here’s to more stories, more fans and more creativity!
Yes, but what I remember from when I tested is that it goes from game to game, so the Creme save can be imported into Noblesse Oblige (or the quiz can be answered), and then the save made at the end of Noblesse Oblige can be imported into Royal Affairs. But I don’t think you can “skip” games when importing by importing the Creme save straight to Royal Affairs - if you want to do that, you’ll need to answer the intro quiz before the start of Royal Affairs
Looks like it does go in release order, yes. That’s a shame because Noblesse Oblige didn’t resonate with me like the others did. I liked it but I have no desire to play again right now. But maybe some day I will.
Loving the game so far! I will be trying out the sequels after I try out most of the endings that I want to, though I was wondering if there is an option for the PC to teach at Archambault rather than at Gallatin, as much as I want my PC to be a teacher I doubt they would want to teach there
