Protect an exclusive boarding school and rebuild your life after scandal as a military bodyguard for the children of the rich and famous! Return to the world of Crème de la Crème, this time as a military officer in the Republic of Teran.
Honor Bound is an interactive novel by Harris Powell-Smith @HarrisPS where your choices control the story. It’s entirely text-based, 595,000 words and hundreds of choices, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
We’re excited to announce that Honor Bound is releasing this Thursday, December 5th!
Congratulations, @HarrisPS! I haven’t played anything from this title yet because I want to go in blind, but I fully trust it will be worth every second of the time I spend reading it. Can’t wait!
The previous games in the series are Crème de la Crème, Noblesse Oblige, and Royal Affairs. Each is a standalone - you can import data from previous games, but it really only affects background details and brief encounters. Each game has a different PC and cast of main characters.
@profanedaisy Thank you, it feels lovely that it won’t be long now!
@GreekWinter Thank you! It was really fun exploring a very different perspective (and location) while keeping some elements familiar - I found it really refreshing.
@Servant_of_choices Yes, just to second what Aletheia says - there are various references to previous games’ events but not major ones (and you can choose to skip spoilers as well), as each game and characters can stand on their own.
I posted this in the Honor Bound development thread too, but I made a couple of short Honor Bound prequel games. I put up Five Months Ago back before the HB demo was up, and Recruitment Day is new to play while waiting for Thursday to come around:
Building your Honor Bound MC and how I wrote the game to be super responsive to your MC’s personality, background, emotions, injury, and trauma responses
I kinda hate official release and like WiPs a lot more. The missing save function takes out a lot of my fun and should honestly be a priority to get incluced into full release on this platform. But back to the game istself: I am really hyped to experience the full story!
I know it’s not the same as save-anywhere, but there are save options at the end of each chapter with five slots, and you can load any slot from the stats page whenever you want I’m so glad you’re looking forward to the game aside from that part though - thank you!
This will be one of those books where I just slam the buy button as soon as it is available. No need to check the free chapters or anything, just straight buy
Nice way to spend time on our Independence Day too (Dec 6)!
@Queen_Zelda Thank you so much! I’m really excited for more people to get to play
@janeregina Ahhh that’s incredibly lovely to hear, I’m so touched! Happy Independence Day for Thursday, I hope you have a great day! (I looked up the date - is that Finland? If so… trevlig självständighetsdag for then! (hope that’s right!))
