I finished reading this last week and I still canāt move on from how well written the romance interactions are, ESPECIALLY with the freedom given to us to flirt with nearly anyone HAHAH
I loved how suspicious the ROs get when they see that youāre too friendly with another RO in their vicinity, and the descriptions on how jealous some of them get had me laughing my butt off 
My MC is in for a very rude awakening once the next updates come hehe
Overall, I didnāt expect to finally read such an amazingly well-written WIP IF about sports, let alone college tennis. It really hit the mark that people in the community have been pining for, especially with those that have seen and enjoyed the movie āChallengersā. It captures the intensity that people crave in such a niche genre where sports and IF intersect, and there is no shortage of praises from me with how well-detailed the exposition is not just for the MC, but for the ROs, and even the background characters as well. Heck, the immersion goes so far in that you forget that this is primarily themed as a sports-based IF with how generous the author is in slice of life student interactions. I wish nothing but the best for the author, and I am eager for the next update. Keep cooking!

November is coming up, and that marks the 2-year anniversary of writing CT:OS and Merry Crisis part-time!
I have big dreams for where to take Monsoon Games next! A little about me: Iām a full-time urban planner, but Iām considering taking a 1 year break in 2026 to see some of my game ideas to fruition. I want to know how viable this is, and what you guys are interested in, to best plot out my next steps.
Iāve created a google form to better understand what to prioritize and what next steps are viable for the next 2 years.

Oooo, exciting update. Honestly for a while I have felt that CT:OS has some of my favorite gameplay Iāve ever seen in a Choicescript game. Itās genuinely fun. Makes complete sense to me that you would expand your talents for game design beyond just text games eventually. Super excited to keep an eye on that in the future!

I am reading this since two days ago, I gotta say this is how I like MC story would be, lose some win some, make MC more human that way, MC learn from mistake, getting stronger, better after losing now thatās character development, itās add more drama, more twist and thrill to the story. Something that not many choice game do honestly to make defeat graceful and winning actually mean something because itās attained with hard work.
While nothing about the story involving amazing breathtaking spell or deadly fighting move, I find reading tennis match still giving me lots of thrill like I am reading high intensity action story.
Beside that I also feel I have a good grasp of the cast personality even for non romantic character.

By the way, really appreciate the timeline and posted goals. Makes it feel more concrete, even if we canāt expect perfection, or spot-on and self-imposed deadlines.
The plethora of IF I play usually insists on a binary approach of free content, and then paid, tiered content without much promise for delivery.
CT:OS is likeā¦the standard being set amongst, wellā¦the rest. Merry Crisis might suffer a little in the shadow of its elder sibling, but eh. Same family, lovely level of production and writing.
Pretty content to continue doing the monthly Ko-fi payment that directly contributes to the material circumstances of a brain that writes romances like T! from CT:OS, or N! from Merry Crisis.

Question for any CT:OS players.
Does anyone play the oblivious romance with S! route? Like, your feelings are determinably platonic because you have absolutely zero notions of romance involved with, wellā¦ Your best friend.
But, as things happen, everything just becomes complicated and that is a-okay.
BANG. Confession. Train station.
Genuinely. Like. WHAT.
Like there is no friction on this platform and I am sliding down this slope of mad goodness.

Thatās my favorite way to play the route. Starting platonic and then waffling until the last minute is gold.
Bonus points if you can lure Sam in the bed on night 1 acting all like, itās fine, weāve done that before and then have sneaky sesh on night two while still being unsure if you want this whole relationship thing. I mean, thatās one way to change your view on your formerly platonic friend..

Where do I activate the beast mode ?

You can enable/disable it in the menu that shows up before any match (other than the prologue) The menu will also allow you to enter the code to skip that specific match. You get the code after you win/lose it once.

Chapter 7 (Halloween content!) 
As promised, wrote like a fiend this month and banged out almost a full chapterās worth of content for spooky season!
The update is three-quarters of chapter 7 (about 58k words including code and variants), and picks up where Samās visit left off.
Release dates:
It will be out to ko-fi supporters TODAY (31 Oct), and a week after to the public 
Features:
- Deal with the aftermath of your decisions over the weekend (talk to G, Tobin or Rayyan)
- Attend a language fellow/exchange student dinner-gathering as Gās plus one (and the only American in the group). <the G-only scene I promised! You donāt have to be dating.>
- Prep Halloween costumes with your hallmates (yes, chaotic), and go trick or treating!
- Attend a party after with the team ā¦ then stay for horror movie marathon + sleepover or head back to Haynes to end the night with G.
- Yep, Halloween hookups (however ill-advised ;)) are possible.
You can end this chapter very much in a committed relationship with the RO of your choice.

Details
The rest of chapter 7 will include midterms, a time-skip (with some training/a match) and some fall festival shenanigans (because I love fall festivals). It should add up to a pretty chunky chapter that pretty much seals Act 1 of CT:OS (the āsettling into Cargillā part - establishing most of MCās friendships, routines, and possibly romances, forming a solid base for Act 2.)
Iāll start writing the rest of the chapter once Iām done with the Merry Crisis chapter, and hope to get it out by end-Dec. Weāll see!
