Yay! Sam is back!!! Besides that I loved the nicknames, decided to go with Captain America and Devil, as well as Space Invader with Sammy!
Competition is definitely getting tougher, still managed to win with Rayyan as doubles partner this time. For the first time dreading the singles tho. Win or lose I feel like my poor mc might actually need the Sun, Sea, Sam bit just to recover from the new singles. It’s good my mc is not involved in the extracurricular club. 
Now off to replay Merry Crisis before Xmas.

I think you might have a switched variable here. ALSO also, you mean “assent”, as in yes, not “ascent”, as in climb, in the last paragraph.
Ok, so here the game knows I’ve invited Sam. Still don’t know if the lack of consistency in this aspect is a result of me not starting a fresh playthrough of if there’s a variable variabling wrong somewhere.

Flirty banter with Felix in front of Tobin, who likes me due to my flirting- And Rayyan, who likes me and I’ve made out with…is actually insane. 
My heart dropped so bad when Felix first made their way over and then again, when they hesitated to leave whilst Toby and RayRay watched. But it only gets better, because then Sam shows, and our interaction is very intimate becaaauuse why?..well…I ALSO flirted with her and now It’s just the whole shebacle.
Little do they all know, RayRay is where it’s at, but due to them all being likable it made it hard not to entertain everyone.

Another brilliant update, I’m so smitten. Rayyan still my best boy, such 
and passion.Tobin still dreamy, so glad his reservations are slowly crumbling and playing M/M romance with him is spectacular, the dialogue around that is one of the many reasons this story is so damn good, multi-dimensional characters with real backgrounds/hopes/motivations beyond just lusting after MC. Also a big shout out to Tobin’s roommates who are now my wingman/woman for life.
Now off for play number three to get my G romance on. 
Edit: the only text thing I noticed is on my Tobin run he mentions him offering to switch doubles partners when talking to his roommates, but he didn’t (I intentionally lost the doubles match when paired with Rayyan to avoid that and be partnered directly with Tobin lol).

How I loved this update, finally I got to see Sam my beloved… but also G, I’m so smitten. But Sam, damn how I can ever resist Sam. I really can’t choose, I love them both so much.
This story has always such amazing moments that feel like warm hugs, I just love the banter, the relationships and everything really. The match was great and I really wanted to win with Tobin mostly to stick it to Rayyan… screw you Rayyan! I’m still holding a grudge if you can’t tell

You absolute mad lass, I can’t believe you went and snuck another Sam scene in. Already the clubhouse leader for best Christmas present of 2023 
And wow what a scene, If I had a soul to set on fire it would have melted it. I felt the intensity of it coming off the screen, For what you claim was a rushed, last minute addition you crushed it.
Beyond my stanning, I’m actually really excited to get on with the rest of the year. The singles match has me humming in expectation already.
Hope everyone has a merry whatever they celebrate (Not as catchy as Merry Crisis, lol)

Okay, another round of feedback.
When talking to Rayyan, I got the option to choose “I beat you at the strength conditioning test” when I didn’t. I did finish in Band One, though.
“Emilio Nakamura, a tall but reasonably muscular sophomore with large calves and short, mussed-up black hair, steps up to shake your hand. He looks serious, but not particularly aggressive.”
Tall, muscular, serious but not aggressive…I’m expecting a great S/V player who keeps opponents off-balance but doesn’t go for kills.
“Emilio’s sliced dropshot—the one the coaches had warned you both about—comes in, with devastating effectiveness.”
Or it could be the exact opposite.
I’m not saying every player should play exactly how they look, but it’d be nice if reading into hints paid off a little.

You don’t need to read hints, you get told EXACTLY what Nakamura’s playstyle is: they’re a defensive counterpuncher, who has the special trick of sliced dropshot.

Hm. Slight issue, ignore me if it’s been left deliberately unclear. When Rayann is talking to Deepal about her problem with being MC’s partner, they mention being brown as being one of the sticking points they’ve both encountered. Does that infer that PC is white? Because I’m not and I’d really appreciate being able to play someone who looks like me.

I enjoyed the update, but please can you give us an option to set at the beginning of the game that we don’t have, nor ever want, a nickname (so that we don’t ever get asked about it again)?
I utterly detest nicknames, and the amount of times already the game has tried to get me to set one has triggered me so much lol 
I feel like I’m Regina George in Mean Girls - “stop trying to make a nickname happen - it’s not going to happen”
EDIT: One other thought I had:
On Tobin’s romance route, when they mention having never kissed someone of the same gender before (if you kiss in the changing room after your doubles match) I feel like there should be an option to say that it’s a first for us too (I’d been roleplaying my current MC as a woman who’d never kissed another woman either, so I was a bit surprised there wasn’t a choice that lets you say that)?
Also, I noticed when we kissed, depending on what we say after, Tobin says something about it being the second time, even though we hadn’t kissed earlier?

was waiting for my standert wips for update and saw yours than so i did check it up more becouse first i was just bored, well my plan was going to sleep at 10 pm , i am still awake (6 am) and did my first walktrough.
i am more in medival or fantasy wips, but that did catch me pretty well to my suprise, i am not even in tennis ^^.
Like the way and the work you did on that wip keep up that work love it cant wait for more in the future defintly going to keep an eye for it.

only when selecting with speed/endurance, i’ll try some other options but considering speed is my game atm lol i feel wrong…
yeah it seems the speed/endurance portion is bugged or not working, will need other opinons though
besides that error im loving the new nicknames and sam <3 she has my heart

I finally got around to playing this and I am so glad I did. This is easily my favorite WiP on the forum at the moment, it’s honestly up there with my favorite CoG/HG games period, published or not. @burninglights I love the way you write your characters and the way the MC can interact with them, how you handle stats and stat checks, and the fact that there’s so many choices that are both meaningful and give flavor. This game is a gem.
I just had one question, is this game only going to follow freshman year, or is it going to follow the MC’s whole college tennis career? Either way, I’m so glad I finally gave this a chance, and I hope you keep writing because this could genuinely be up there as one of the best ChoiceScript games ever made.

This is such a well written game that i’m psycked for tennis matches and i’m not that big of a tennis fan. The update was fun, i’m looking forward to seeing how the game progresses.
