Ooooh, I see now! The emotions in this scene are waaay different depending on whether or not the MC is romancing Rayyan .
I think the main point still comes across, Rayyan is focused on winning and turning pro and doesn’t want the newbie messing up everything they worked so hard for, (though if not romancing Rayyan, they are being kinda rude, there isn’t the “romace=distraction” excuse).
It’s super-ironic if you managed to do what I did, which is hand him his ass in the court when partnered with Tobin. Like, I’m BETTER than you at doubles, Rayyan.
I’m actually super-curious about in-game Monday and how that talk is gonna play out.

P.S. @Popi your interpretation of Rayyan’s thought process is spot-on and very generous, and pretty much summarises my perspective on it too, which I will build on in the next update, but @JBento Agreed that Rayyan’s reaction may come across as particularly harsh to MCs who might not have any inclination to romance them. Game goes WAY beyond the Jacks match, so yeah, that’s probably the game hitting a code clusterfuck that you need to make a fresh playthrough to get rid of.
This summarises it well - and I think I was debating having Tobin include a line in there on Rayyan having more bark than bite - they’re hotheaded and have a one-track mind when it comes to tennis, and it’s been a long time since they’ve let anything come close to mattering as much as tennis. When they calm down a bit, I think thats where things get interesting the conflict gets a bit more… nuanced and they can be less of a knee-jerk jerk about their ambitions 
Hahaha to be fair, Rayyan knows this - and also just kinda wants Tobin/Deepal on their team - but the self centredness of this desire is something they acknowledge (in the locker room, slightly) and will come to terms with after the initial outburst.

Yeah, Rayyan kinda had a knee-jerk reaction and I do hope she apologises to the MC once she cools down a bit, especially if Rayyan is romanced.
Who knows, maybe the MC can convince her that they will make a great team and that feelings (even friendship) that she considers a weakness can turn into an asset.
And if the MC manages to convice her, maybe she won’t complain to Coach Sy on Monday.

It's a gutsy move on a second serve, but this time, it's better executed. Your down-swing is smooth.
The ball skids fast, close to the doubles alley. Jacks has to take two big steps out in order to save it. Not an ace, but damn close.
After a couple more shots, you manage to grind Jacks's defenses down enough to put the ball away with a hard topspin shot, winning the first point.

If you do both the gym and the serves activities on the first day of the weekend, you can do one of them on the second day too (looking at the code, you’re not supposed to be able to do them again). In fact when you do the gym activity you get *set weekend_activity “gym”, then when you do the serves you get *set weekend_activity “serves”, which makes weekend_activity = “gym” false, allowing you to go to the gym again.
Also I haven’t gotten there yet but the fact that the locker room scene is an entire chapter, I’m even more hyped now and I’m not even romancing Rayyan. (Maybe I should…)

A few things about 2-2_firstweekclasses:
In the locker before the drill, Emerson says that I won laser tag for Haynes, even though I lost in the final. I looked through the code but I couldn’t find what happened.
In the final shot of the drill, the only place where you increase misses_drill is when you blast the ball back and it goes in (the first choice). misses_drill shouldn’t increase there, and it should increase in all the places where you don’t get it in.
I love how you named one of the parts finesse_dead, it’s so fitting for a tired MC who’s run a million suicides.
It seems like all the grade boundaries have moved down 10 points? Now 80 seems to be A, 70 B and so on, but in the “College/Class help” stats page it still says that A is 90+ and so on.
I don’t know if I can ask you this, but who has been the most dominant player you’ve ever had? I am referring more to the fact that at the time of the elections most of the games have obtained positive results.
Why am I so bad at tennis irl and in game, I managed to lose all my matchs because how am I actually failing all of it
