It’s a DDOS attack. Trying to fix it.
Try it now, people. Hopefully, this blocked them. If anyone who should be able to reach it is getting blocked, let me know.
One other thing I noticed (I have got to get back to work, lol)… one game on the page is having a recursion error: pendragon: sword of no names. There’s either something wrong with the code, a missing image, or the game code has hit something that scene.js can’t handle. If anyone knows the author, please pass it along.

The site is still not working properly and on the edit game page it’s showing an 500 | Server Error error, making it impossible to edit the game description ot to add or remove anyone from private access.
I will really appreciate if you can have this error fixed as quickly as possible.
Thank you in advance.
I’m working on it.
And I don’t mean to be rude, but I pay for this out of my own pocket. I have paid for the dev to make the backend code. I support it myself. I troubleshoot it myself. I’d appreciate a bit of patience.
At the moment, I am getting hit HARD. Over 5000 hits from one IP address in the past hour-ish. And they are hitting from multiple IPs. So please have a bit of patience while I get it fixed… and also deal with my actual job that affords me the ability to do this for the CoG community.

I am truly grateful for what you are doing for the community and sorry if my earlier message seemed a little demanding to you. It’s just that I become restless whenever I have to deal with something like this, so please forgive me if I seem rude to you.
Besides that, I think there’s something wrong with the cog forum itself, as just now I have faced several errors while trying to navigate and edit/create messages in my thread, so maybe both the forum and your site are getting attacked at the same time.
This is all I wanted to say, and also thank you for the quick response…this puts me at ease.
No problem. I’m frustrated as well. I’m getting hit from multiple IPs repeatedly. I don’t really want to block an entire country, but I’m about to block three of them if I can’t find another way out of this.

Whatever it is that you did does seem to have fixed my ability to access the site without needing to turn my VPN off at least, which is great. (Or at least I assume it’s what did it, since I haven’t changed anything on my end that I can imagine might have affected it and am now able to access the site normally at least for now).
I’m curious as to what could be the motivation for this attack. Is it some sort of ransom plan or is it due to some sort of personal grudge/motivation? Is it normal for this type of thing to happen to the site?
So I tried accessing the edit page again, and it’s working now.
Unfortunately it continues to be an issue on mobile (safari for iPhone) as Firefox mobile hasn’t been able to access cogdemos.ink without persistent errors for months.

Are you sure it’s not jus int your end? Just tested it on my android and Firefox seemed fine.
Unclear. The issue used to be that I’d get 3 error messages that I’d have to click through every time I ‘turned a page’ (no clearing the cache as was recommended did not help). Now cogdemos.ink is completely inaccessible on mobile with Firefox due to humanity verification loop (not using a VPN does not help).
Update: Found a way that lets me bypass the humanity verification error, if I open a link directly from the COG forums to a demo I don’t have to go through cloudflare. The error box pop ups are still an issue though, I know people have said clearing your cache fixes it but it doesn’t on iPhone and I got the same errors even when accessing cogdemos.ink from a brand new device.
