Random thoughts about mules and thaumtaurgy, Mules being birthed from mules is indeed possible if very rare, and seeing as denying horses to the lower classes and creating more mules more easily, helps noble prestige and general productivity. Are mules in the game world thaumtaurgicly self reproducing? I would think so, as even if it’s not the case anymore in the time span of the game. Many ancient societies valued mules more then horses.

Wow. Well, since I had no idea before today that mule mothers were a thing, I’d not given it thought in the game design. 
Thanks for teaching me something, and I’ll give it some thought. It’s certainly legit as a headcanon!

Even if it does not become a thing in canon, I have to imagine that during the Heran era, some poor smuck of a theurge, instead of investigating the secrets of the universe or war, was given the job of making mules fuck.
