Choice of Rebels Part 1 WIP thread

I’m betting on Zvad or Radmar. They’re the only constants, and I’m paranoid.

Haha omg Mara for once we disagree, i like Breden xD But thats all right since at least we agree in Guen about Mordred being RO and all

@Bagelthief I never really thought about them that way, at least not Zvad since he seem so loyal, however now im skeptic towards Radmar since it feels that he is more in the shadows?

I don’t think Radmar has enough smarts to pull off such a well timed betrayal though. Not this often at least. He’s the one we watch the most if not Breden. Don’t forget after what happened to Poric, for what reason could he have to help the hegemony against you?

Obfuscating Stupidity is a trope, and I’m betting on Zvad primarily.

@Razgriz Yes thats right! But then again maybe for money? Ohhhh my GOOOD this so sooo hard…, jesus! I at least hope its really our father.

He doesn’t seem the sort to betray his people for the slim chance that he’s even allowed to keep his money after the rebellion was destroyed. He may not be a genius but he can’t possibly believe that the hegemony would allow a helot any large form of money.

The father is simply desperate for anyway to save his child. He’s not asking for anything other than his child’s life to be spared. To have them simply say he was killed or that in a fit of mercy they spared them as a showing of Xthonos’ mercy

But i must ask, why do you suspect Zvad, @Bagelthief? He wasn’t at the village.

I really don’t care who is the Judas priest. I only want kill ALL OF THEM, FILTHY DIRTY HELOTS Oh, when evil Gandhi could show her true nature of Noble Stalin and Kill all the leading peasants.

Is your character like a pokemon Ms.Mara?
Is Evil Ghandi simply her starting form and when she evolves she turns into Nobility Stalin? Then if you win, she’ll turn into Hegemony Hitler?

That would indicate more than one traitor then. Zavd wouldn’t have known the names of the helots you were meeting with prior to the harrowing.

I think Breden is still a clear favorite to me as a traitor. Why wouldn’t Chirex throw him/her into the harrower and then get you after? As Herion says the Hegemony needs a rebellion from time to time and Breden was clearly trying to stir one up. That doesn’t mean he/she can’t be brought around for real…

No, no this is a serious role-playing XD. Evil Gandhi was Noble Stalin all along. But as a real rebel she uses all tools she have to succeed. She thinks a low anarchy movement could actually attract potential for growth in all areas. And include Theurges with desires of power. She is not a fighter, and like Gandhi thinks she couldn’t do anything in direct fight.

@cascat07 as much as i like Breden you make a valid point. Well If it comes to it my MC Kadmos will likely kill his lover or lock him up XD

Which is why I don’t think he’d betray you. TBH - I actually suspect everyone and won’t be surprised whichever way the betrayal occurs. The father in this story reminds me of the debt-laden family member Bioware inserted into DA2 … a guy with failure written on him from day one.

Yet this still leaves me sceptical of Breden being the traitor. What motive does she have to do this? Money, power, freedom? Unlikely, money doesn’t seem like enough for them to willingly go through hell to murder your own people and perhaps die in the process, power she’d never receive since the hegemony would never let a healot into any position of power, freedom? She/he can now get that for themselves with this rebellion.

@Zolataya, perhaps. Still he fits the bill for those who could’ve betrayed you. I suspected he would’ve simply stopped caring after your rebellion lasted the winter. He’d simply remain pessimistic as usual, but it’s his reaction that surprises me the most when we have the visitors in custody. Why be so vehemently against doing something such as that if he thought they were all dead anyway?

Sounds great! Thank you Joel.

You’re right, I wasn’t thinking about anything currently in Rebels when I mentioned my issue with the standard vomiting after a first kill scene.

I don’t think Breden is really a helot, at least not anymore.

Omg @cascat07 he can be a noble spy!! Or something else wow just wow i never thought about that :scream: Now im really worried! If everything is true about Breden, my MC wont be happy.

Yet we have no conclusive evidence one way or the other. Breden brought up the kryptast spies to the MC once. Even insinuated that they themself could be one. Now that’s a major gamble for no reward. Why show your hand and possibly have the MC call their bluff if she was a spy?

Though now that I think on it, has she ever mentioned her family? Even once?

Interesting perspective, I have other. I believe the Breden rebel was never a helot, It was a spy that was raised by Hegemony to create and then wipe any rebellion before reaching any dangerous size. She was placed in Rim and started this and then when you acted she still faking

It’s becoming like an Agatha Christie’s fan club in here!
