Are there any games where we play as a god? Like The Aether and The Followers titles.
What do you think is the best ones? Genuinely curious and also want some possible recommendations lol
Tin Star, Heart of the House, Zombie Exodus, Tally Ho, and Creme de la Creme are roughly my top 5. Relics of the Lost Age and a Kiss From Death were two of the best WIPs, but they’re both gone.
You can actually still play an older version of a Kiss from Death - you can find the link by going back a few pages on the edit history of the WIP post.
My fav WIP is still Fief. Still rough and probably won’t be finished but still fun!
It’s been a long time since I played Wizard’s Choice by Delight Games, but I wonder if there are non-interactive novels like that game, or like any of the Choice of Games like Life of a Wizard. If someone’s read something like that, I would be real glad if you let me know. Thanks.
Have you tried Magium?
Yup
Have you tried Choice of Magics?
@moonfungus I loved Choice of Magics. I only ever romanced Queen Thecla and their romance wasn’t anything to write home about. But I loved
the choices the game offered. None of the games I have played offered me such choices. For example, in any other game, The Hierophant would have been a major antagonist but in CoM, you can kill her in the beginning.
Yes
Any gangster games where the mc can be a gang leader, or just in a gang?
Life of a Mobster and Breach: the Archangel Job are the ones that immediately come to mind.
Greetings,
I search for stories with Main Character’s love interest stolen by someone. It may be somehow depicted.
It may also be about dealing with her (sexual) past.
I heard that “Affairs of the Court: Choice of Romance” has such a scene. I completed this game a few times, but I never found anything like that.
So any tips would be nice too!
Thanks!
Hey so I’ve only recently started visiting these forms again, and haven’t been playing that many CYOAs recently, mostly because I’ve been reading books, one because although I’ve read a lot of books this year, overall in my life I haven’t. But to, because I have quite niche tastes.
So yeah, wondering if it was any games I’d missed? I love reading books about seriously messed up depressing teenage girls XD, but I struggle to find books like that lol, so any young adult games for I’ve missed? I played that one involving the haunted Ireland or what not when I first discovered it about 2 or 3 times, but I think that’s the only young adult game that is?
Also I’d be really interested in playing a investigative crime game, so something like Highlands deep waters. I know when when I play that when it first came out I don’t think was anything else really like that on here here, but maybe the something else come out whilst I’ve been gone?
Any recommendations would be much appreciated .
(Also sorry for the typos and, and lack there of it I’m on my phone lol using voice input.)
The Fog Knows Your Name fits your description pretty well but maybe you’ve already played it? Also Crème de la Crème has messed up teenagers of selectable gender. Blackstone Academy was also a game about teenagers.
As for investigative mysteries… there’s Scratch, which I never finished, but it might be interesting?
Thanks , yes that’s the game I meant when I said the haunted Island game lol. Out of those Blackstone academy is the one that’s picked my interest foremost.
Honestly in the hosted games and choice of games apps there’s just so many games now I don’t even know where to start lol.
I can play meidival plotted games all day.i.e the games in which i get to manage my castle, guards, commanders and that kind of stuff

2.the war for the west
3.the great tournament
4.the great tournament 2
5.lords of aswick

What other games will you recomend me ??
The Lost Heir trilogy has a bit of management in it, though a bit more focused on characters and plot than strictly kingdom/domain management. You do have to manage your personal stats, essentially following the typical fantasy RPG system.
I recommend you give it a try; if you feel like the demo doesn’t scratch your management-itch, then it’s probably not for you, as the system remains pretty much the same throughout the three games. However, it’s an engaging read with lots of content, so again I recommend giving it a try at least.
Stronghold: A Hero’s Fate is all about managing a city that you can turn into a castle and deciding how to guard it.
Silverworld is the same thing but with a prehistoric tribe.
They aren’t castles, but Metahuman Inc. and The Fleet both are resource management games where you decide how much money goes to research/survival/security. One is a corporation and the other a space fleet
