So is the bug fixed the one that wouldn’t let us get past a certain part of the game?
Saint strikes me as a very genuine person in both a good way and bad way. Whatever he’s thinking is something he’ll likely say outright, without really considering the consequences of those words or knowing how those words may be taken by the person who he’s saying it to. So far, he’s comes across as kind of verbally and socially clumsy, but it also often feels like Saint is never really saying/doing something with the intentions of being mean-spirited. Even in the previous version of the demo where he was a lot more accusing and even a little hostile toward the Bearer (and the part where he makes the rather thoughtless remark about how the Bearer was the one with the ‘destroy the world’ powers), there was never really a malicious feel to his intentions. Just, at times, clumsily thoughtless.
And @Rohie did say that the Bearer has been Saint’s last hope for some semblance of family, so I kind of see his rather forward confession as a bit of a leap of faith (one he was clearly nervous about taking). That and our Bearers DID ask him to tell them who he was, even when Saint stated that there was a strong likelihood that they wouldn’t believe what he was about to reveal.
You can play the demo. But do to the rewrite, there will be some parts past Part 3 that will make the later parts of the story a little inconsistent at the moment.
Yeah, I thought so too. He reminds me a lot of my real life little brother.
I’m worried that the final battle of the Trials will be between us and Saint.
I actually think the only way for us not having to kill someone is to somehow get both the MC and Aeson into the Final Battle. Since the Gods consider us as one person they would have to grant us both immortality. Thus avoiding any bloodshed.
But if that’s impossible and it ends up being between us and Saint… I wouldn’t be able to do it. I love my dysfunctional little brother too much.
I’d give Saint a quick death.
What’s the stat advantage on the violin?
It’s allure I believe!
It was more for peeps who felt the info came too much as an info dump during. Like someone is part of a hostile group…oh wait, he’s disarming? He’s my bro? We’re doing this now?
While I have 0 qualms about that reveal coming the way it did or even when it happened (Saint is the worst when it comes to timing and his desperation of wanting family is palpable), it’s to help ease what someone mentioned as left field for them
(And I do want more Saint interactions. I want my bro >:C the gods can wait)
Somehow, I can’t help but feel that the gods would screw us over with immortality even if it came down to us and Aeson (poison_mara was probably right about doubting them as much as she did). But, I agree. My MC would have a hard time living with himself if anyone aside from Cronus would have to die for him to be immortal. He doesn’t quite see Saint as his brother (he hasn’t known him for long enough to feel much of any fraternal bonds), but, if he was forced to kill him, would do his best to give him a quick and honorable death. And then, once he’s able, run to his room to cry his eyes out.
Hmm I don’t know. I mean how would they screw us over? They did make that unbreakable oath and they can’t possibly ask us to kill Aeson (or vice-versa). It would kinda ruin all of Zeus’ plans.
And yeah, having to kill Saint to win immortality would probably break my MC. She’s used to having to do what it takes to survive but murdering her only remaining blood family? Messed up.
But hopefully, there is a peaceful way to end the trials. There is no rule saying we have to kill our opponent, right? No reason we can’t just… knock them out? Force them to surrender?
They couldn’t even keep an eye on the Bearer properly, can’t even welcome the MC without having an argument over whether or not they deserve to live… At least Sage didn’t even have a say over whether or not we were created and may or may simply be suffering from poor information. The gods will probably find a way to go around their promise. Besides, they promised immortality; there was nothing about invulnerability and aging (…right?).
-breaks for me at the end of the ceremony. nonexistent variable.
-instrument stats are misleading. Guitar sends people into frenzy (seemingly charisma), violin is complex (seemingly wit)–but apparently violin is allure. Odd.
-wouldn’t mind killing saint to gain immortality. i-ve known him for all of two months. besides, he’s in a loving relationship, which is utterly disgusting.
-im going to take hermes’ cadeuceus and stick it in his daughters eye.
-is our MC given the option to adhere to a major religion? Please note that if anyone starts making jokes about worshipping the olympians i will burn this entire thread.
you okay bro?..
If it came down to Saint and someone else having to die, Saint is going to live in my book. Honestly, I feel like my MC is going to call Saint her greatest love. Not romantically of course but I really feel like he’s going to be a big part of her heart
Like idk if you guys have sibs who you are close to, but best friend platonic soulmate potential right there (speaking from experience HAHA) like god the fam feels in this so much
I’m back from the underworld only for Zeus to tell me I’m his child, What happened to Hades, my true Pa!.
Why is horny daddy, my daddy?
Because daddy was horny,
Damn, don’t tell me we are destined to become a living mummy. That is way too cruel, Hades would never allow it ![]()
Nah, but in all seriousness, I don’t think they can do that. They promised to turn us from a demigod to essentially a god, right? The difference between the two is immortality.
Yup, I wouldn’t hurt Saint. My MC is as desperate for a family as he is. That’s why she hugged Hades as soon as she saw him and forgave Athena on the spot. When Saint made the big bro revelation she immediately latched on to him. No matter how naive it may be or downright foolish she trusts and forgives who she considers a family beyond common sense.
I feel like her family is her Achilles heel. She puts them above everything and Saint is already her younger brother in her mind. Good luck to anyone who tries to hurt any of them.
((I also have siblings and I totally get what you mean. Sometimes they are the most annoying souls on the planet but when it comes down to it I would burn the world for my brother and my sister)).
and suddenly it’s fish dad what is happening???
Hades was removed as an option.
Whaaat? but he was perfect. he’s the only father material from the trinity
