Catering for the blind readers

Actually that should be possible. You can definitely make a variable asking if you want images or not in your playthrough and toggle the option.

We did something similar iirc when we had ascii fireworks. I recall one of our coders worked to make sure a description of the image was available for players using audio devices to play.

@FairyGodfeather to be honest, I find music in games totally distracting. Sound effects don’t bother me though as long as they are used sparingly.

Well, my buddy at work is blind from birth and he has no problem playing COG on IOS or Windows, so I would say you guys already did an excellent job at it. Anything more I would say will just add cost and frustration for writers.

the problem with having a fully voiced gamebook is you have to get the casting for each character perfect as most readers will build up an image in their mind and if the voice you get doesn’t match it can ruin immersion for the reader.
