I don’t think I fully understand what you mean by this? After every choice that affects your stats, on top of the following page is a note that says what stat was influenced and by how much e.g. if you have a head injury (Perception -3). My thinking for this early portion of the game is that it won’t necessarily be immediately clear which choices affect which stat before you make them. I don’t want the choices to fall into the mould of reinforcing certain archetypes, instead I want your initial base stat generation to be more, i suppose organic. Later on in the game, skill checks and stat boosts will be far more clear, but at this point I pushing for murkiness. But perhaps I didn’t quite pull it off well enough, or I’m misunderstanding your problem?

I love the whole pirate genre so I’m so excited to see where this goes. I really enjoyed your writing style.

No you pulled murkiness off well. I just don’t appreciate that in CoG’s personally.

That was very mean of you to leave the demo as short as it is, i got so into the story that i almost shouted in frustration of it cutting off, if i have to track you down and beg you to keep this story going i will do it.

Hmm, ok I’ll give it some thought and see if I can come up with a better way to implement it, because to be honest I’m not completely satisfied with how I’m using stats.

Haha! I’m going to try and post an update at least once a week, the one I’m working on now will be a fairly large one so it might take a bit more than that. But I’m determined to see this game finished before the end of the year!
