Back in Action ( WIP - working title )

THE PREMISE

You’re not supposed to be back, and yet you are. Living under the radar as an ordinary person trying to get by. But two years aren’t enough to make people forget, and everywhere you turn you’re reminded of your mistakes.

Will you stay hidden and ignore how the city you once swore to protect slowly burns around you? If so, why did you come back if not to save it as its guardian you once were?

— THE GAME —

Back in Action is set in a world where superhuman abilities can be recreated through a medical procedure in a lab, though the price is high, and not many are willing to pay it. Or so the public thought.

In-game, you were one of the first people to undergo the procedure and the leader of a special team tasked to watch over the City. But one mistake forced you to leave everything behind, and you’ve spent two endless years unable to set roots.

And so you came back, but things are different and darker now, and getting back to your old life isn’t an option. What will you do then?

— FEATURES —

  • Customize your character: physical appearance, personality, gender, and orientation;

  • choose how to feel about the people meet and interact with;

  • become the new mentor of a young inspiring hero. Or don’t. (Please do…).

  • A character-driven story where every choice matters (spoilers! Even the drink, yes, trust me. But that will come later on, so it’s not really a spoiler. You’ll understand)

  • Branching paths and multiple endings;

  • … And more! (More? Yeah, more.)

— CHARACTERS —

The Neighbor - RO (M / F)

They live with their mother in the apartment across from yours. Amidst taking over their family’s business and caring for their forgetful mother, they still find the time to come knocking at your door whenever they can. They just want to make friends, though you suspect their mother is trying to set you up behind their back.

The Old Teammate - RO (M)

He doesn’t like people, avoids them altogether even. Or so his first impression entailed. It didn’t take your team long to figure out there was more to it. He was the one most active member in the group chat.

The Lost Childhood Friend - RO (F / M)

They moved away during high school, and you haven’t had any news of them and their family since. Saying that meeting them here of all place is a shock is an understatement. You didn’t even recognize them!

The Young Apprentice (M)

Raised in a family that never worried about money, he fallen from grace after of a dumb mistake and a trip to the ER. He has friends and family to support him, but the world is cruel, and the pressure sometimes is just too much.

Oh, it’s so good, amazing work, author. I love Flo, he’s adorable and his mom is already ready to make the date of meeting to a romantic date :laughing: Gosh, that cliffhanger with the explosion. :laughing: You can’t let us hang there :wink::joy:

I’m really glad you’re liking them. It’s always such a treat when I get to write about them :smiley: and about the explosion, the original idea didn’t call for a cliffhanger, but the scene asked for it, I couldn’t say no lol
