Dylan should have been a type of romance I normally like the submissive puppy. He is too much puppy even for me. I felt like he was a minor kid in the way he acted and that makes me impossible to take him as a ro He has like twelve mentally.
I love this game but now i replay without romance and is better for me as none of romances have sense for my character and Eiris just say "Bye now i am captain screw you i will see you in holidays to banging "
funny story,
but…I lost mah ship lol . I didn’t give it up and didn’t join the Pirate . So Mommy from hell came, and took it from me . And Then…I joined the Pirate . It’s kinda…feel good though . I know this way, you dont see much of the pirate and her crew and get all the sleeping-family-stuff from her . But…I do skip the whole ‘Hyper’ part . I think my happy ending is with the pirate , like it or not . Homewhever, I would love to know…why she was written so Hyper! lol
I love it. Space!!! And good writing!
spoilers under cut
Ok i just done 1 playthrough but. I really love it. I play with engineering/medicine as starting skills and somehow raise the leadership stat throughout the game. I felt that sometimes engineering and science options are similar…
The characters are all interesting, even though not all is,
uh, particularly likeable. At the end of the journey im just sit there thinking, how do i end up with two illegal crews?
I romanced oscar. He’s totally adorable. I just love his interaction with mc When he fell sick im like “goddammit. Not AGAIN!” bc i have tendencies to pick a favorite character just to have something bad happen to them…glad he didn’t die. everything is alright now
Eira is…hard, at first. But im impressed with her leadership skill, even though her way is different than mine. Dylan, he’s an axious boy, i understand why but he needs more training/study before he’s ready to live on his own after his freedom imo legit feels like adopting a child when i use my favor to free him.
This is how i pictured Roshan. One badass grandma. I really enjoyed working with her as my main stat is engineering. Feel sorry for confiscating her contraband I like shiori but they apparently just…okay with me? Even their relationship stat ended lower than victor? idk how this happen.
For victor…i maintain a professional, all business relationship with him, but somehow he become all informal with me? Especially after i destroyed the nanites cargo. I expected him to put up more fight but…he just let me do it because he didn’t wanna die fighting. For a brute that genetically engineered to be like that, to give up so easily without a fight
Tbh katja did not leave an impression to me, partly because she left abruptly at mars when i just ask her “what ship you were captain again” i mean. You’re from a rebel organization please learn to evade question or lie? Brogan was ok, i sympathize with him enough but just that. He’s p crazy, poor thing.
About the factions, i started this game with “fuck capitalism fuck cops vive la revolution” mentality but somehow i upset all the factions enough still friends with T-PES and the union though. I originally want to be an informant about T-PES to Solib, but they’re not…trustworthy enough that i choose to destroy the nanite cargo myself.
In the end my relationship with all factions is amiable enough maybe because i save the vesta station
when i choose to be the interim governor i imagine they be like
I just wish there’s some way to save all 3 ships from nanites
When you join solib is there a way to be aggressive while being heroic at the same time?
Absolutely!
Aggressive/Pacifist is about fighting Vs negotiation or indirect action, whereas Anarchic/Heroic is about selfishness and chaos Vs helping others and dutifulness. How you behave, as well as how you convince others to behave, both can make differences. There are a few chances to influence Anarchic prior to joining, mostly during Chapter 8, but in general it’s all in chapters 9 and 10.
You did the correct with separate both. As I said a pure leadership character i made really ruthless but has always being Pacific using diplomacy to obtaining her goals. So i found really great that characters noticed that
She is an ass but have always being diplomatic. So I will heard her to reaching a peaceful solution.
Most games tend to forget that Political diplomacy DOESN’T HAVE TO BE GOODIE look at your country everyone… tell me Aren’t most politicians corrupted and only looking for themselves? So why videogames don’t cover that?
I think Diplomacy was used differently back when it was labelled that . I aint a historian, but to me diplomacy is mean to be used to get or settle things with words .
Politiciens are NOT diplomat . Using politics and such, doesnt make you one .
Shrug cose they are using different rules that are in poltic . Tools? lol
you can use diplomacy with Intimidation though, but I do agree its rarely seen .
hey, Poke…there is no shame in being Goodie! You vilain!
In Spanish more in old Spanish Diplomat meant SPY literally. Diplomats were spies send other courts to obtaining information sabotage pacts commerce etc… The word politician wasn’t really used until XVII So all this diplomatic are good people hasn’t sense to us even today still the idea of diplomacy being spionage between Spanish lol.
Our most known diplomats are AlL ex politicians all
humm but it fit the setting of this game . We aren’t MERC…we arent Pirate . We are merchant . We can shoot, or we can talk the ennemy ears off
I know…you wouldn’t pick any of these options . Just ram your ship trough anyone in your way…take pictures!
i havent killed a fly nor use a weapon. 80 leadership 100% ruthless. My enemy surrender to my voice nno shot fired in the entire game. If they killed themselves due radiation and famine no my problem
I find those kinds of playthroughs - so pragmatic and uncompromising, while not being violent - very satisfying!
I also enjoy spamming athletics and beating people up given the opportunity
Captain Marvel style or Kill Bill style?
…I haven’t seen Captain Marvel yet it’s so hard to go to the cinema with a three year old in the house. And of course, all spare time had to go towards writing this!
Once you do see it, we’ll continue this fascinating discussion
I am on the Captain Marvel spectrum, while my sister is on the Kill Bill side … it is so interesting to compare notes at times. lol.
I am in the capitan marble nude in bed spectrum. Not in watching a hippie movie about heroism? Save planet? zzzz
In addition to that, it required the Diplomats to find a Win-Win situation for both involved parties , to persuade the opponents to abandon any hostile intentions with an approach that will benefit the opponents as well … Normally a sensible leader endorse a win-win situation when he/she realise open confrontation will only harm both parties
I started playing it and I like it so far, but I have a bit of a problem with(figures…) romance options!
SPOILERS
After finding the stowaway an evening Oscar comes with the usual report and ask me if I am into him but I feel like I’m only friend with him while I was interested in Dylan. So my questions are: is Dylan even a RO? If I turn down Oscar will it affect our friendship? Will I still have a chance to romance Dylan(if there is the option)? Are there particular triggers that I missed for romance scenes or it is based only on the level of relationship? Like I have a good relationship with all my crew… should I expect all to hit on me?
Thanks in advance for the answers(sorry if the question was already asked, I asked it again because I can’t check other ppl spoilers and don’t want to read too much here because I didn’t finish the game once yet…)
Hi Simon!
You absolutely have opportunities to romance Dylan in both chapters 6 and 8. He might not be as confident as Oscar in asking, so take opportunities to spend time with him and all should unfold.
As a player I get pretty antsy about succeeding at romances so I tried to avoid hidden pitfalls or challenges. Have fun
Ok, since I have your attention a moment I wish to say something to you and to all the others who are still undecided to buy this game.
At first I thought I wouldn’t buy it because I read in the description that the choices seemed to be: you either be ruthless and don’t care about your crew or you have to align yourself with the rebels.
I had a problem with that because lately I played some game that were a bit too much railroaded towards the rebel side just because it’s cool to fight against the rules and I found them annoying… expecially when rebels are an abusive bunch obsessed with self righteousness.
I decided to give it a try anyway and boy, I did the right thing!
The game is really well written and I like the mood so far, I have a good feeling that you managed to make a very good story(even if I haven’t finished yet and I might come back later and complain lol)!
Thanks for your work @FayI, lately there were some really unenthusiastic games released but this one so far is surely one that will be remembered in a good way!
tl:dr buy this game, it’s really well written!
I agree with you that the highlight doesn’t make justice to the game quality and plotting. I really recommend people that like game Let in the store an accurate review of what they found in game. That could be a great way to make people trying the demo and see the game for themselves
