I actually just copied the original headline from 1964 (I found it here, if anyone’s interested: Star of India Gem Stolen From Museum Here - The New York Times ; the headline only mentions the Star of India, but a whole collection of gems was stolen on that heist btw)

omg omg this update was awesome!! i really love the dynamic of our group of criminals, it really adds so much fun to the game and story and makes me eager to see what comes next! and argh, the sweet sweet angst of playing N’s route… i’n super excited for the next update!
Just played the demo update and loved it! I liked finally seeing the criminals together, and getting more backstory for the MC. Here’s my totally crackpot theory as to who betrayed MC: I don’t know if it’s been confirmed by the author if the betrayal comes from the same person/people no matter the route, but it’d be a cool twist if the betrayal is coded to come from those you are closest with (either romantically or BFF-wise). That’d be an absolute nightmare to code, and this has like 0.0001% chance to be the case, but that’d be interesting fall-out. Other than that hehehe, I don’t have any solid suspicions yet. I think I’ll have to see more from the characters before I can make an accusation. For now, I’m suspicious of everyone.
Anyway, I like the group dynamic and I can’t wait to see their reactions to MC being a C.I.
I may be the odd one out in this, but… What if no one on team con betrayed the MC? That’d be a hot pile of drama all on its own, but I have to account for that possibility given the amount of unknowns there are at this time. The lack of motive is the single biggest weight behind my lack of overt suspicion toward the con gang. I need an actual whiff of smoke before I shout “Fire!” is all.
to be honest I’m really looking forward to the interactions with Jessica kim the Agent. I don’t know but that character just has something the potential to have a Sly Cooper Carmalita Fox esque relationship.
So far my favorite characters are: The Middle Man/Woman, the Agent and the Thief.
BUt really all the characters have insteressting depths to them and I’m looking forward to exploring them some more (Get your mind out of the gutter).
This is so, so, so good. Sometimes in games I make one type of MC and don’t feel the need to try others. Not this game. I want to try all the jobs and have very different personalities and goals. I went directly for the love triangle, though. I have a feeling Josh could be my favorite LI, but it’s too soon to tell. My first MC is a forger who wants to leave her criminal life behind, and I’m sure Josh would be glad to help, but she ALSO has a massive crush on Alex, so… trouble! I need more!
One of my favorite things is the way you reflect our choices and stats in the text. It feels like what we choose actually matters and makes our MCs more tangible. Keep it up <3
