How would you describe a basilisk?

Umm… a giant snake that can petrify people I’ve only seen it in Harry Potter.

Dragon would have breathing fire and flight while the basilisk will have venom and petrifying sight.

Is a familiar’s form purely cosmetic, or do they gain traits associated with their mythical counterparts? For example a basilisk could cause death with a single glance, and a dragon could fly and breath fire (honestly there are so many myths about dragons I just picked the two traits that I thought of first). Also would the dragon be more western like or more eastern like?

No it’s not just cosmetic(I hope) they each have their own traits and abilities depending on their transformation. And I was thinking the dragon could be based on Chinese mythology Dragons because they are more serpent like than western dragons.

I like the idea of a dragon but it has been done a lot - so it might feel “overdone”. A dragon though always fascinates me.

Well it is true that I don’t like doing common stuff, but on the other hand dragons are cute.

Yup it would be a mix of both and have the ability to breath fire and petrifiy enemies.

I’m probably gonna be that creepy kid that even the night coven wouldn’t bother…

I vote hybrid that way it can follow me more easily and petrify. And cook my food… And light some hair on fire…

I’ll have a black snake so I’m happy either way.

Maybe you could. That way you could give “Black” and “Black and White” as choices, along with, for example, “White”, “Chartreuse”, “Puce”, and other such wonderful colours. (I shall be really annoyed if I can’t choose puce…)

I think that ship sailed when they heard you were the Miraculum and could destroy them with a simple fire ball spell.

Lol it wouldn’t be in that form all the time. It only changes into its beast form when you’re in danger… or you tell it to change.
