My only issue thus far, whilst trying to get thru Chapter 2 again.

The word “,yeah” coming up in multiple characters. Its unrealistic to have so many using it. Not only two using it, they all use it. It’s weird that everyone uses “,yeah” a LOT.

This is what stopped me from finishing chapter with the actors and the play.

“,yeah” needs edits. Few are ok, but not every person?! Either cut it from few or change yeah to “,right” for couple.

Its weird conversation line for ALL to use “,yeah”.

Think there is a blaster increase missing here in chapter 1

#I need a long range option as well, and I can barely handle my energy powers. I should focus on that.
And so you do. You join Ignis and Lat’s sessions, though you don’t get quite as much time as Lat does to train.

Still, what you get is undeniably helpful. Ignis teaches you to better direct your energy flow, how to avoid having your arms 'soft-lock', as she puts it, when you fire, and how to shoot while flying. Ignis even mentions you might be able to create other shapes beyond bolts at some point, though it's still a way off, according to her.

You also get some target practice, in the shape of Aki and Seeker. You don't hit the former very often, and the latter not at all, but it still helps you prepare.

Of course, the days shoot past as well.

Ironic too, given your username HarleyQueen and a profile picture of Harley Quinn from her animated TV show, since Harley more or less is the Seeker in this dynamic. Considerably worse, even, considering how Harley and Ivy have sex just days before Ivy’s wedding to Kite Man — something that regardless of one’s opinions, is indisputably cheating. Which is something that Ignis and Seeker have not and would not ever do, per the author’s own words.

In other words, you might as well have a username of SeekerKing and Seeker as a profile picture. The same kind of forgiveness can be given to both.

It can be natural to dislike a character as a perceived romantic rival in a fictional story; no one’s asking you to like him. But Ignis never belonged to you, or to any character. At some point it’s better to put the vitriol down. Romance Lat for a change, for instance, if you don’t want to see this piece of Ignis’s story through to the end. She literally has more (and better) romantic content than Ignis. Call for more ways to ignore and lash out at Seeker in future chapters, if you want. But better to do it from a place of calm and not a place of anger.

Yeah, I can kinda see where you’re coming from, though it comes with the territory of the entire League being a bunch of zoomers and young millennials (like the author), with the gap between the youngest alleged ages (us, Lat, and Aki) to the oldest alleged age (Seeker) is just 6 years. So yeah, the word’s just there because everybody’s pretty casual and non-confrontational.

I’d like to tell you that the percentage of total word count that “yeah” takes up drops off after Chapter 2, where it currently sits at around 0.15%, but it increases to about 0.2% in Chapter 3, then 0.3% in Chapter 4, drops back down to 0.1% in Chapter 5, and somehow returns to 0.15% for Chapter 6, Part 1. So there may still be a bit much for you.

I think the idea of dropping in some "right"s is a good one, though. If this were spoken, I’d also probably recommend an affirmative grunting sound, but that’s, uh
 not easy to write.

Yeah, dw, it wasn’t as bad as you might think. VS Code already gives me the word counts for each chapter, and I can just Ctrl-F to see how many times the word “yeah” appears. The exact percentages are slight underestimates relative to the in-game reading experience because the code is included, but for the purposes of comparing across Chapters (e.g. whether it gets ‘better’ for them after Chapter 2), we only particularly care about the ratios between chapters.

You step forward then. Nova fixes his sights on you, but you’re not getting cut off. Before he can speak, you tell him what you decided on before you started flying here.

It should 404 after that.

Wait, did you actually run an analysis on that? :no_mouth:

Gods, why? The man knew about Gloria’s plan to incite the terrorist attack and went along with it. That’s a permanent irrevocable place on my shitlist.

My problem with Gloria isn’t that he’s competent (in fact, I’m pretty sure he’s gonna fuck up royally and make things worse for everyone, catastrophically so), it’s that he’s an evil little shit (and you agree with this assessment, because you just metaphorised him with Cheney) who’ll get innocents murdered for a photo op.

Stoffs, including stoffs from the earlier chapters that I picked up only now

Man, not being able to name save game slots is gonna be a BUGGER.

Capitalised pronoun.

UNcapitalised pronoun.

“ongoing” is just one word.

Extra inverted commas.

On the multiple meet-ups in Chapter 4, you can still loop endlessly if you want. Not sure it’s worth the trouble of changing that, but just so you know.

I swear to god, Señor Cuevas, if you don’t do a POV switch or otherwise let me hear this convo when the time comes, I’m rioting.

Neener neener, fuckers.

“latter of whom”

I dunno, Gabby, I’ve met some fathers

Hi, I’m requesting a “why not both?” option here, kkthxbai.

I think Gabby has been told what to do way too much already, she certainly doesn’t need this extra “told” in this sentence.

Nooooooo, the cliffhanger. :sob:

I’d say this is great, but you just cliffhangered me AT THAT POINT, so
Untitled

 mostly. Happy holidays, Juan!)

Yknow it amuses me that Seeker gets the hate. If I was going to be mad at anyone, I would be mad at Ignis. She is clearly the more cognizant of the two regarding her feelings for the other, and she is the one who enters into a relationship with the MC despite actively pursuing Seeker seconds before. Literally Seeker has done nothing so far but stand there and be the target of someone else’s affections. He clearly cares for Ignis, but he doesn’t pursue her romantically, and indeed actively shuts down such advances in Chapter 2.

Seeker isn’t stealing your girl, your girl is in love with another man. (Also she’s not your girl, you’ve known her for like two months women have their own agency etc)

To be blunt none of the people in charge have earned my trust one is a dumbass with the ego on par with a certain real life prez but let’s not bring in irl politics and the other is a shady fecker that as one person has already mentioned was willing to have a photo op detailing mass slaughter cuz why tf not. Also Mars needs to stop trusting tweedle dumbass and his successor I’ll allow a massacre to happen if it helps my shady plans.

They both suck tbh, Ignis for encouraging MCs affection and Seeker because he’s Seeker. Also Lat or Aki is right there, who’s seriously going after Ignis?

Me chasing after the techboy Nova because he exists and I like techies plus he is cocky but can back up his words.

I totally agree with you, but Lat is just in the bestie zone, and Aki gives me little sister vibes. I’ll let Ignis break my MC’s hurt for the angst. If Iris is a G then I’ll go down that route but otherwise, I’ll just keep my MC a single pringle.

Agreed Aki gives little sister that needs to be protected vibes and Lat is a bit much for my main mc tbh so eternal bestie zone for her, gonna be after a certain techboy for the entire game.

I’m playing a single Pringle too, Seeker and Forlorn are the only characters I’m interested in, so of course they’re not romanceable :unamused:.

From my knowledge. Seeker won’t ever be. Forlorn on the other hand will be in the next book.

That gives me hope.

Forlorn romance will be peak; I’m very excited (though I doubt it’ll displace my current preference towards Nova). He’s so emotionally repressed and linked to many of the central mysteries of the plot, and he’s adorable too.

“Iwanttoapologize,” he whispers quickly, almost too quickly for you to catch, in fact.

“What?”

“Apologize,” he whispers again, this time slower. “About how I treated you earlier, I mean. It was uncalled for. You’re new at this, and I shouldn’t be giving you a hard time over it.”

“Oh, well
”

“I know getting used to the whole hero thing can take a while, but you showed you have some of the stuff it takes earlier today. Good job.”

Also, to put things in perspective, Forlorn hasn’t called us by our real name once this entire game.

I know, he’s playing hard to get and I like it :smirk:
