A solopsychological horror spacefaring WIP 'IXS Thermopylae' (looking for beta testers)

Will try and balance it out between sexy, horror or shock as opposed to fear at this point, and pain. You cannot access your memories so nothing to be afraid of yet. Fear will come much later hehe.

Could I try to romance the AI? Could be made a great role playing story. A mad character trying to romance the force who is killing her.

If you manage to get the AI online this is near the very end of the game and lets say you may want to pray to the Gods.

In game time you have three days to figure out whats going on and how to save the lives of the others. Of course you may decide to take them with you or worse yet damn them for eternity.

and here I was hoping to play a game where I could kill a bunch of Persians. I was going to ask for a choice to kick the messenger into a well and say “This is Sparta!”

Ahh, be still my heart, a psychological horror game; not much enthused about the ‘spacefaring’ bit, but oh, I’d like to imagine we’d be exposed to an environment much like the SH video game DeadSpace– trigger happy monster-patients lurking in the dark, or creepy baby barfers ready to blow your face off.

Ohhh, imagining the mindfuckery instore gives me tingles of anticipation. Brrr, the uhh, brain c- happy hormones are real.

So, in Thermopylae, we will be set to find ways to prolong our inevitable (-and hopefully gruesome) death to be able to proceed with the story. Though I’m not all that into doing altruistic deeds before I die (-writing that, I felt as though my name had been listed somewhere), do we uhh- get to have the option to ki- er to leave or aid someone to their possible end?

Sorry no aliens but there will be things that want to shorten your life even more. As far as the space aspect to the story, it is going to flavor the story but not going to dominate it by any means. I like settimg it in space as no help will become and a solid reason why your along plus the environment is rather contained so the player can explore but keep the story small.

No you have a set amount of time and there is no changing this. Your death is going to be very unpleasant and you will find this out not to far into the story. You will have the choice to do good or bad but should you do good you may be a legend where as bad you will be the only one to know.

ohhhhh, the isolation is breathtaking.

Damn, that’s brutal. Gives me shivers. I like it.

Shit, I can’t wait. Sounds awesome, man.

Sounds pretty cool. I love ticking clock scenarios so much. Probably the only game that really FELT like the clock was ticking in the narrative for me was 999. This is an interesting concept, and I’ve always had a weird fascination for doomed characters with a time limit on their lives.

Btw you don’t need to ever write *line break you can just make one.

The double line_break is a habbit lol I have some habbits that carried over from the old days of CS coding.

People seem to get on each other for this habit a lot. Sometimes physically writing it allows a fatigued mind to realize a line break is there too.

I don’t mind hehe. But had to use line_break for so long I feel out of place when it’s not there lol.

Hey if you want to write the line breaks and it’s helpful, good for you. I am just the laziest coder known to man and I will do absolutely anything to avoid writing even a few additional commands. Some of my code is worthy of screams, so I’m probably not the best giver of advice.

We all have are styles of writing and as long as CS likes it I see no reason to worry about add or not add things like line_break

Naw, we are all different. Exchanging our little techniques can be really helpful - so critique away … If I find myself in a confusing section of code, I will often spell it out too as @Lordirish does out of habit. My dearest sister @Fiogan always points these failings out to me saying… "you know, the official CoG manual says… "

but I get her back in similar fashion on other habits. :rose:

Please point out as oftten as you like I do not always know the lastest code, I get in my own little world of coding not knowing there is some better way of doing it. But alast I think the line_breaks will stay as it would throw my rhythm off when the fingers are flying and do not even have to think about them, they just happen lol.

Trying to finish up the update for my other game for the first, but will be working on this once a week. Writing a phrase portion of the game in CS is providing to be a challenge so no time frame right now sorry.

This is my fourth week in the truck and still three more days before I get to go home so to be honest my motivation to write is on the low side :(. I did manage to clean up the opening a bit more. I will be working on the rest of the opening tomorrow night as I will have to sit for five hours before I can make my delivery, then go home for four days  Get a little recharge and then start cranking out more material for both games.
