With the new scenes and stuff Will it be brought up later on or what? Because being friends with the church person and what happened to them seems like something that would make sense to mention again eventually
Ha, maybe because I received too many asks on Tumblr about L and it skewed my perceptions lol
but the flamming sword incident following the rejection of Ateus isn’t it for him
Your point about non-Ateus-allied MC makes sense! I’ll add a choice to reject D’s offer earlier so they don’t make your weapon blaze with fire.
With skewed stats like that, why can’t he have both?
Hmm ok, I’ll allow MC with >5 int pick a second spell in chapter 4.
@Darkside Probably just flavour text in Ateus’ route, I think. I’m assuming MC does not care about church anymore in other routes (this might change later, probably in the second build of the game. For now I need to get the majoy branches working XD).
in Ateus’ route is what I meant
Yeah then it will get mentioned later!
The funny thing is–in the scene where the MC can reject Ateus (and the lack of immediate followup from the one other person in the room), I took it to mean that Des understood there was a rift there. Des not asking about what the MC saw, or even learning their royal take on the situation no matter if it was positive, or negative as in the case of my prince, it seemed like the rejection itself was the ‘end of the route’ so to speak.
But that was mainly because the vision ends, and then you’re suddenly in a different scene altogether just continuing the story without establishing if there even was a discussion after the vision. I’d assume yes, because Des does later allude to the MC’s stance if against Ateus, but that could be a good spot to ask if the MC approves of the eventual fire sword scene later, or not.
Hmm, because my original plan was to talk about it in chapter 6, but I get that might be too late. You are right that it seems to be a good place for a talk; I’ll see how I add that in.
Edit: updated D’s scenes. Let me know if they flow well!
And I removed the overt flirting option for now. I feel it flows better after D’s issues are addressed in the next chapter.
This a really good story, I have no clue why I didn’t check it out sooner.
Also I love winter and ice magic, so as soon as I got the option I ditched boring old Ateus for that sweet sweet Wolf godjuice.
Just discovered it but great, love it !
I have already planned my second play !
See you later !!
@Mr_Cheese @Wolfie Thank you for your kind words! I am currently sprinkling flavour text here and there to flesh out the routes better. Hope you will like it!
A Little Progress Report
Chapter 6 is now 30k words, 3/4 done (But I have not completed D’s scene, which is HUGE in this chapter depending on your chosen god or the lack of it, so the word count might go over the estimation). I hope I can finish the update this month.
If you guys want to point out some language issues, you are welcome to post in my discord! (or here) English is not my first language, so I need a second pair of eyes. Thanks in advance.
So. The first draft of Chapter 6 is here!
In this chapter, you can:
- Get accused of murder.
- Attend some more boring council meetings.
- Delve into the past … again?
- Grow your power and influence!
- More scenes with the Speaker, your Blade and Ylva.
Why does Ingvild hate me? Cant spend time with her
Also will not allying with gods have any consequences? I did not want to kill Mori but need Asteus protection
If you don’t call them a coward, they should not hate you?
There’s not really any consequence if you do not ally with them. The path is just more difficult to walk sometimes. (But I think you can keep Mori while maintaining the alliance. I re-uploaded the files just to be sure)
Thought I picked the friend option, maybe I need to play from beginning ?
I tested the path from the beginning and from chapter 6 on my computer, and it seems ok. But if you do encounter the bug again, please tell me what you did prior to that so I can replicate it.
Thanks a lot!
That was exciting chapter. I like where the story is going… though I’d really want to kill that little shit, Cenric soon
can’t stand him.
What about romance with Des if MC goes over to wolves side??? I guess they are not going to abandon their god #angst
After playing the demo, I couldn’t help but imagine my MC totally romancing L until they stab them in the back- let L have a taste of their own medicine topped with some kind of twisted love. “If things turned out differently, I genuinely feel we would have a happy ending.” Or something like that.
But Mori is way too irresistible not to romance, so her first.
I started the story with no opinion of the cousin but damn do I hate her now. Such an entitled brat. Every damn interaction is just tainted by arrogance and condescending. If you want to be the heir act like one damn it ( congratulations for creating a character I can wholeheartedly hate that is really an accomplishment I am normally very mild even with unlikable characters.)
Yesterday when I was playing I got two spells and nether would show up idk if it got fixed
Same. After picking the Disguise sigil (which always works no problems ), I went for Arcane Armor, but it didn’t work. It likely didn’t set the acquisition of the second sigil to true, meaning there’s no variable tied to the scene yet to be activated by it being visited.
This means it had no effect on the alleyway thug fight with Ing.
Between the blade and the Priestess, its a hard task to choose. They are both endearing in their own ways.
