I never got to throw in my two cents back when it was a hot topic discussion so imma do it now:

I think Leon’s execution of the MC is absolutely a miscarriage of justice. Evidence that exonerated the MC existed, but nobody bothered to try and find it before a death sentence was issued. That is absolutely a failure on the part of Ante, who was terrible spymaster, and a failure on the part of Leon, who was a bad friend and worse king.

And given the prominent existence of magic in the setting, failing to consider its possible involvement strikes me as being particularly shortsighted.

I doubt we’ll be able to convince Ilya or Saine to join Arcadia, but I wonder if it’ll be possible to convince them not to side with Leon at least.

Please tell me we aren’t going back to the “Was Leon justified or not” convo.

When we notice that E is still wearing the necklace we made on accident when trying to make an armlet we get the option to mention it in a sentimental tone.

I’d like to see an option to comment on it like “I see your still wearing that gaudy necklace.” In a kidding/teasing tone.

E: “Of course I’m still wearing it. This necklace you made is one of my most prized possessions!”

Y: “You made that necklace! E mentioned receiving it from an old friend. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised it’s from you.”

MC: “It was a failed armlet, had I known E was going to display my childhood failure to the entire continent I would have spared the world’s eyes and destroyed it then.:joy:

But in this one i do. I dont want to read the same old stuff just phrased differently twenty times over again. I want to gush about what i found good about the demo whats different how more subtle miss Tahlia is how much i adore Eli and all the other Arcadia characters how much i like the foght scene at the festival. I dont want to talk about something that hasnt happened in this demo anyway. I dont mind talking about the Leon pocalypse when we actually have to confront him in the demo. But we arent even there yet. Its just wasting time we all cpuld spent discussing stuff thats in the demo. And there is plenty! The Leon and Param debate has been talked about so much its like a moldy fruit to me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions ofc i dont have anything against that. But i think everyone can agree that nearly every opinion we can have yet has been stated in this thread over years regarding the leonpocalypse. I want to talk about what the demo has to offer right now. And noz something that has been talked about so much i could write a thesis paper about it. And this is my last comment to this debate. I want to talk about the demo content etc. Not about a year old debate that isnt getting resolved soon. And sorry for this long paragraph just needed to get this out of my system. Have a lovely day and night everyone.

It would be funny if the mage then would get an option to somehow convince Eli not to wear etc maybe a playfull tousle would be fun! I can already see the outcome thou😌

I doubt the discussion around Leon and the old crew will die down anytime soon, the reunion is the most anticipated event for most people because (and I know I’m stating the obvious here) of how the first book ended. It took a lot of guts kill off the MC and it’s something I haven’t seen done in any other WIP I’ve come across. As a result there’s a lot of raw emotions that’ve been festering for the readers for years now.

Honestly I doubt even after the reunion things will die down on that front.

But for the sake of discussing what’s actually in the book; I love the new jobs we have. My mage usually has high charisma but after playing the intrigue route I think that might be what I main from now on. It opens the doors to many possibilities if the author chooses to expand on them in future updates. Though I do still miss Archangel from the old demo, he was an interesting character.

Yes i can see Y and F walking through the door without knocking even as I type this. Personally I would like the mage to try and make a new necklace and gift it to Eli.

Its why i said a break haha. But yeah the necklace bit for sure! Esp for a High Alchemy mage! Imagine what pretty Wonders we could conjure Up… Or what more hideous creations we could create to torture Yu with😌

People have kept talking about it since the first book and they’re going to keep talking about it until the inevitable reunion with Leon, and probably even then there’s still going to be discussion.

Besides, I personally never posted my thoughts on the matter and I wanted to throw them out into the discourse void. Now I have. I’m not going to apologize for it.

Not sure if this is going to be in the rewrite but the past demo there’s a Leon monologue that questions if MC would ever love him still (if romanced). I can’t help but think back to the letter MC wrote to him that she “would love him till the day she die”. I’d imagine the day they would meet again and have this conversation, MC would reply:

“I died, Leon.”

Meaning she would never love him again.

My angst gremlin self is tingling.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t make it into the rewrite, it was the first glimpse we got of how the old gang was doing after the mage’s death. But I do wonder if we just have the Yotai arc to go before we see that scene again, or if we’re gonna get more stuff in between those two story points.

Recently tried the route where the mage develops a crush on Eli, and dear God some of those options… My mage is gonna have a hell of a time choosing between those two.

I can’t quite remember their reaction but I picked an option for trying to reach the upper city where my mage said that we could just kill any opposition that shows up if we run into trouble and I gotta wonder what Eli’s thinking about that considering we were a small child last we met and relatively nonviolent.

“Alexei, do you feel any… different since the resurrection? Like, mentally?”

“Huh? No, I don’t think so.”

“You’ve been kinda violent lately.”

“What makes ya say that? I’m just saying if we gotta fight, we can fight.”

“I mean, you did also massacre a whole castle’s worth of knights when all you had to do was spirit gate past them.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Eli. You can’t kill somebody by spirit gating past them.”

(Alexei is my mage, for reference.)

Good point actually. But i think Eli doesnt question iz because they knew we fought in the war? I mean the mage was basically one of the front fighters and pretty popular. Or maybe its just hasnt been written. But yeah such a reaction would be interesting.

Not sure about the new demo, but in the old demo, the author mentioned that Eli will unconditionally support the MC no matter what choices the MC chooses, even if those choices involve ultra-violence and mass-murder.
