YOU GET IT i think devotion as violence is a motif that shows up a lot throughout the mage’s story. LEON being the one to reverse that and say “alive or dead take me however you will have me” could really pop off. its “all that matters is that want to hurt me. all that matters is that you want me.”
You know guys, maybe I could even forgive him? 
And if there’s possible a version where MC become the ruler of Arcadia, they could even be allies. (This would probably be the most positive ending for my mc- get rid of Tahlia - prevent war with Param - sign some treaty - rebuild Arcadia - have friendly relations with Param).
But that’s all Leomar can get from me. There is no question of any close, personal relationship again. At worst - kill everyone and destroy Param

If you really wanted to hurt him, act like he doesn’t exist, I just went through the code again and his thoughts show how the silence left by the loss of the mage is the worst, he’d even take dying by their hand over it, the worst you could do to him is to act like he just doesn’t exist, or act like you don’t know him.

ok i am so sorry for the double reply but i have been thinking about this wording all day. leon was a bit of a silly goose during saintess-gate! it was a goofball moment!
Saintess gate? Does that mean we’ll get him impeached as king and then the next one will pardon him?
Here’s a conspiracy theory, what if Ante is in fact not an idiot but actively in on the kidnapping children conspiracy? That would explain why Leon knows so little about what’s going on in his own land (the person who’s supposed to be telling him is hiding information) and also why Ante was so dead set on getting rid of MC (she’s racist).
Might be nothing, but I thought about it in the shower and it seemed interesting.
