A Mage Reborn, Book Two (WIP) - UPDATED April 5th, 2025 | Book One Released!

Near the end of the game of book 1 after the first kiss with Leon :+1:
(Obvious you have to romance him first)

Any pity I had for Miriel ran out after what she did to Eli. Not only that but all the hell she put the MC throughout there life makes it very hard for me to be sympathetic to her. Even up to the point of her death, she shows no remorse at all for the things she has done. In fact she tries to cause even more pain and death, just to be spiteful to the MC. Not saying she doesn’t have reasons for why she is that way. But Eli and the MC also had a abusive childhood just as well. Its no excuse to turn into a monster, and inflict that trauma on others. Especially your supposed family.

Honestly… It’s hard to see anyone siding with arcadia after we ( as a reader ) spent so much time with the Param gang. It doesn’t help one of the first arcadian characters you met is straight up hostile towards you.

First impression is REALLY important.

You say that but there’s a lot of Pro-Arcadians and some people, me included are warming up to them. But I’d like to start from scratch and binge the book again so all the information is fresh in my head. Personally I’m just glad everyone’s enjoying the book in their own way.

Yeah we spent a lot of time with Param…

And then they burned us alive.

I don’t care about Arcadia, but I’ll use them to get revenge.

I’d like to use them as a tool for revenge too. Although I don’t really mind Arcadia. It could be reborn as a country and return to the maps… Unfortunately, Thalia complicates things, if not her, I would have cooperated more willingly.

Burning at the stake is just a joke between close friends. And if Arcadia wants me as a friend, then they must accept my fire of friendship.

Even when they figure out the truth and posthumously fix things?

Lets not forget that the root of their “betrayal” is our inability to communicate the reason for what we are doing. An inability inflicted on us by Mireil because she’s a sore loser.

Though speaking of the arcane collars, one would think after Mireil’s shenanigans (which is the second or third time those things have been used on us) the MC would take care to learn how to combat them or reflect them before making their escape. I know its in the interest of keeping us on the Arcadian path, but perhaps when we have a chance to break from it we’ll be shown that the MC hasnt just totally given up on removing those things?

We have another collar on?

At least thalia threatens to have us in one if we dont obey the rules set by her. @Edgewen I jad no idea she put one on us? I thought she was just threatening us with that.

If you choose to escape, Tahlia will inflict one upon you. She also will threaten you with it beforehand if you mention having no loyalty to Arcadia and give some damning reasons why.

As though the threat somehow makes it better? My MC probably would have worked with Arcadia until the strongarming and terroristic nonsense theyre forced into.

For such a supposedly cunning manipulator, Tahlia is great at making enemies.

Damn, she’s a bitch.

But at least she isn’t pretending she’s my friend.

Though it would have been smarter of her if she did.

But what if I want to become psychotic terrorist-purist?
@Frieza I guess we can both pretend we don’t want to kill each other. Although knowing she can read people’s minds, that would be pretty hard.

Still, thats all if you are already openly against them. If you support Arcadia none of that happens and she is actually kinda nice to you. She brings you back to life, heals you, asks you where you want to work. So if your interests align it’s pretty good

It’s sad that I’ll probably have to go through Saine to kill Leon.

He doesn’t deserve to be stuck between us like that…

I don’t know how it will look from Story-perspective, but i am 99% sure Parivir will give us an opportunity to kill only Leon. Besides if you read Book 1’s epilogue, you can kinda guess Saine is not very happy with Leon.

Yeah but he’s still his brother.

I can’t see him just standing aside and letting us kill Leon.

I feel saine will be torn between us and Leon but ultimately give us the choice to kill him or not. Cause we were the one affected, it may not endear him to us, but I think he will let us do it. Though I wont kill leon, let him stew in his own guilt.

I’m not saying he should step aside (thats probably gonna be Ilya’s role), there’s prob be a rift between Saine and Mage after that, but you wont have to kill him that I guarantee

Out of all them I want tahlia gone. More than Leon I am hoping to get rid of her. If not for her I would have pledged my loyalty to arcadia and planned on how to reconcile these two groups. But her use of threats to make us work against our will is just the type of thing that will get you stabbed in the back.

@Kungoru, just like how the fandom is willing to protect saine whether they are anti or pro arcadia.
