But indirect links work fine. IE https://forum.choiceofgames.com/ (Well subdomain)

I don’t get the 500 errors any more but the display of the site is rather broken still.
Broken how? Can you post a screenshot?
I think this is a temporary cache glitch. Some users have fixed it on their machines by holding the Control key and clicking the Refresh button.
working fine now for me. I always hold control or stick a /? at the end of a url to force cache refresh.
Sorry to revive this but I’m getting 500 “Internal Server Errors” a lot tonight.

Same here. It keeps coming up as a connection issue but my connection is fine.

Is it reproducible for anybody? Is it the home page specifically? If you refresh a bunch of times, will it fail randomly, or is it just broken the first time and then better when you refresh?
Not for me; happens on any page or topic in the site.
It just happens, and occasionally breaks, randomly. Refreshing may or may not help.
“or topic”? You mean it’s affecting the forum? (Only the forum?) This thread was originally about the “main” www.choiceofgames.com site, not the forum.
Despite the similarity in their names, https://forum.choiceofgames.com is a completely different machine from https://www.choiceofgames.com, and problems in each of those have to be investigated in very different ways.
