to be honest if it give me a choice between mei mei or to save an enemy I will choice to save an enemy and if it give me to see mei mei suffering I do like that choice as well
What’s even wierder is she can craft pills for her own advancement but she doesn’t I mean she already crafted a pill that gave her a Xiantian ability but not one to propel her to Late Houtian.
Yeah, it’s weird. Maybe she’s hiding her true level? There’s a post on the author’s tumblr which implies that Mei Mei’s blood purity being supposedly in 30s is a fraud.
Either that or she’s trying not to make too big target of herself, idk.
Is it possible to beat Xiwen in the poetry competition during the Danger Zone mission?
Yes, with high enough charisma. So long as you don’t pick a bad topic the MC doesn’t know first thing about.
To be exact, you’ll need ~2000 charisma and pick a topic that isn’t about “nothing specific”.
Yes it’s possible I myself I choice cruel world on common people
exactly what I was thinking

Thanks for the quick response!
Note that her biting mc is powerful enough to draw blood from PH mc.
Honestly, I don’t dislike Mei Mei atm, she seems pretty messed up, but that’s just her trying her best to survive by herself, since she intends to cut ties with her clan, I prefer her over LC at the very least, but for me Caihong is the best, so I only tried Mei route to see, but not going to follow her. Also about the masters “training” for me Aí master was the best, but I’m following the monkey god cause I want space.
Funnily enough Mei could be a virgin and while she could do that. Sooner or later mc will grow powerful enough that the poison wouldn’t work.
I don’t think poisons are something that’s no longer a threat for a xanthian, given the sect’s main physician specializes in dealing with these, and i don’t think the MC is evolving past this stage until 3rd book at least. So it’s much more “later” rather than “sooner”, if ever.
Yes but Mei very likely isn’t powerful enough to conduct a poison that would still work on a powerful X. Also with dao it would be easier to remove it like how mc could have removed the effects of the mortal pill
She likely isn’t this powerful yet but neither is MC. Whether her research and skills can grow at the pace of MC’s physical development is an open question, and the outcome is basically dictated by the plot.
Is it just me or stuff like heavenly talent don’t feel all that powerful anymore? You used to feel like a powerhouse with maxed stats and talents, but now you just get easier stat checks.
So basically rather than being strong you’re weak but everyone is weaker too. It’s like in video games where you have high diff gameplay with op gear where you feel badass Vs just playing on novice difficulty
Kinda feel the same the talents feel watered down now
Well, -40% to stat checks is huge – it means e.g. at 5k you will pass 7k check without any other items/bonuses, which is effectively late-houtian going toe-to-toe against a peak-houtian. Add to it stuff like the bonus from dragon tattoo and crown or suppression or infusion, and you’re a match for someone with 10k stats. Which can come very handy in fights like Mei Mei’s encounter.
So i’d argue it’s actually the opposite – the new version can make you more powerful than merely maxing out the stat would.
Btw I did a play now with focus in stats, and the issue of getting weaker after getting Ki is repeating itself, before anyone question it, I was playing mortal difficulty, while I did got one legendary talent it was the one to always pass agility checks, so I ignored the stat and I could raise the others to 2500 just before the fight with Long Chen, and agility was at 600 (even though it does not matter with legendary talent). So before getting QI I had 13100 exp in applied stats and a little bit extra (less than 100 if not mistaken).
After getting QI, I got 10k after getting Ma Rin stone. It was a play with focus on stats, so I did everything available to my char get extra exp or stats.
PS: there’s a bug where we can use points to raise our stat limit after getting QI, we would need to use 50000 points, to get the extra 5k, but the possibility is there, I don’t think it’s intended.
