I wonder if he does, actually…
- the Emperor basically acknowledges the Demon Queen as someone who’s not to be messed with
- Yang Bohai can make the Demon Queen at least temporarily back off
- the Monkey God treats Yang Bohai like a little boy, and the guy actually tolerates it despite his bloody short temper
I also wonder, one of our skills, the Void Step is supposedly “an incomplete art found in possessions of the Living God”. In the older build of the game, the pouch “gifted” to you by the Monkey God could be used to improve the Void Step, apparently being one of ‘void treasures’, and the Monkey God seems to be very skilled with Void arts in general. Makes one curious if that “Living God” is also him by another name, or some sort of his predecessor.

1.Nope demon queen is afraid of the emperor, the emperor just knows that since he rules the empire,the casualties that will come with fighting her would not be easily reversed not that he’s afraid she can likely best him.
2.I doubt yang bohai can do shit to the demon queen, it’s probably the fact that yang bohai and the other shangtians would be too much for her since she probably would start rampaging in the sect to find the mc which would need more the shangtians of the sect to gang up on her hence why she backed down. And she also stated that she wouldn’t kill him because tang yichen would be angry.
3.thats sort of the same scenario with the demon queen but it was already implied that the top shangtian included the monkey god,demon queen, the wandering saint and tang yichen and since monkey god isnt exactly a problem for the empire like demon queen who if goes out of her way to make herself a inconvenience to two or more shangtians would be slain hence why yang bohai takes the bullying.
If monkey god did something over and beyond like destroy a sect built by three shangtians he would probably get hunted down.

It would also be wrong for me to say that void step isn’t special but to say it would be the only incomplete art in tang Weis art is unreasonable,I am pretty a bunch of other clans have a special art like that.
That wouldn’t be a good reason to say he is also tang Weis reincarnation like us and since our clan got our hands on it,it even makes it less special.
Which brings the conclusion that monkey god is Definitely not a god, maybe top 2 or 3 shangtian.

If I’m not mistaken, yes it’s him and for him to become your master you need to have ambidextrous talent in the master selection scene reject (or be rejected) all the masters then he appears, killing a guy and throws two balls at you, catches them and he becomes your master

It was discussed on the discord and with the author’s output we got a Ranking on the shangtians.
1 Tang Yichen:Nobody come close even he’s half-dead
2 Demon Queen:She’s very strong and the strongest physically and TY gives her respect because of that
3Monkey God:Well he’s slightly weaker than DQ but in almost every situation DQ would avoid him.Also he called himself God.cuz this useless mf is a fucking troll(who’s gonna stop him)
4-5: Wandering Saint and Shadow sovereign we don’t know.who is stronger rn
Outside of them it’s very possible that Yang Bohai and Yang Bai are the strongest Shangtian.

One more thing if the mc throw the rock at him or make him mad during your first encounter him, he’ll instantly boot the mc off the building when choosing an elder as your master so don’t piss him off if you want him as your master.

I wasn’t saying it’s the only incomplete art. My point was that it was created by someone skilled in Void art, and with Monkey God apparently using this type of art as his preferred craft it made me wonder if there wasn’t some sort of closer connection between these two entities. That was, however, based on a wrong idea i had, that “the Living God” wasn’t Tang Wei’s title, but some other person altogether.
How do you unlock the option to tell him he was set up?
You need high enough perception (150 or so) to spot alchemical components left at the scene, and that the Protector is lying when you question him why he didn’t help.Speak with the alchemists and the Protector both. If you’ve joined He clan you’ll have option to make him confess, otherwise you’ll have suspicions. Either is good enough to bring up once the Demon Queen’s son asks you to kill him.

To add on, you must read the alchemy book from the library in order to talk to the alchemists.
