Ouch, i was hoping that saving in the Protected Save spot would prevent having to restart playthrough from the beginning, but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Uploaded a save from Protected Save taken at the end, getting indication of “restarting chapter” and getting sent back to start of whatever section i happen to be at at the moment of upload. Although maybe it’ll work after i reach the free roam part ;/

Not sure if this is a bug with the update or just an issue with loading a save, the file i loaded was saved at the “fight” between Mei and LC
Update, fixed. I somehow deleted the text label by accident lol

If it helps anything, the notification i get is "sect_free.txt has updated. Restarting chapter".
Looking at the save, it indeed stores "sceneName":"sect_free" rather than that specific subsection.

It is possible to ascend to Nascent Soul without causing genocide, it is only more difficult as we would have to obtain items with a lot of Qi

Not really…? You can advance through regular means to get to equivalent of the peak S, and with the advantage of the golden seed you’d be the strongest, easily. I haven’t seen Nicky say anywhere that murdering people, much less half of population, would be mandatory to achieve what others can do perfectly fine without.
