So the demo stops randomly for me after the mall dialogue when my mc starts talking about a mother or something when I click the few next options I’ll provide a screenshot because my playthrough will end there for now and I can’t continue the demo.

@Schrodinger was playing through noticed it before and saw it again so was curious was the scene with astoria at night removed? Or is it a error of some sort?
Making mention of it just in case loving the demo and seeing the new things and unfolding of the world.

No the scene wasnt removed but it depends on Wing MC donating blood at least one time!
And I am so excited writing more about that world tbh, there is so much stuff that will never be a part of this IF.
Lol strange because donated both times in the play through and im looking forward to seeing more in time.

Im uncertain where it would be since i dont code dive and nothing strictly jumps out as a coding error it just seems that scene simply doest show. Yet i recall it vividly from before wonder if it has anything from playing from a save. Will try a fresh playthrough and see if that has anything to do with it.
The code should work (its a simple “if red rose 1 or 2 true goto that scene and else goto this scene”) but I have the same problem regardless of playthrough

Starting a fresh playthrough worked for me i just got the scene to start up i suspect it might be something tied into the saves like a cache type issue.

This keeps getting better and better. Astoria scene was entertaining and signaling obvious red flags. Gonna play that route.

Yeah I reactivated the saving rn!
And I erased some errors Quicktest showed me, that was probably the reason.
This shows up if i skip the party after the mall. Playing as heron, i don’t think this is supposed to trigger.
I’ve been following this story for a couple months and I’m really fascinated to see where this is going. Past time I had gone through the beta it ended well before the mall or even classes so it coming back to there was a lot of new things to read.
Rambling spoilerific thoughts: Given the Cult’s isolation and constant need to draw blood; I was theorizing that the group was being controlled by vampires and used them as as a quiet and discreet feeding ground. With the cult’s outspoken attitude’s towards same sex relationships I had made a lesbian interested in Astoria and who was internally doubtful on her belief in her faith. A route that I continued with my latest play through which was a thing and it’s hooked me.
Spoilers as of the latest update:
Supernatural Elements;
-So the pair of newcomers are werewolves infiltrating on someone’s orders and have an assigned(?) handler of sorts. That’s a rather interesting development, especially as they seemed to have both been invited/allowed in.
-Astoria is or at least has become a vampire, that… was not something I was expecting but honestly this reveal/surprise is a major reason for why I’m so fascinated. To well elaborate;
She has at least outwardly gone through a drastic shift in personality from the first time she’s on screen and begging the MC to when she’s met the second time(on her RO Route?); where she lured the MC out the room they share with one of the newcomers.
I’d need to play through the story again to reread the phrase and see from who’s perspective it’s from but there’s a reference to her her/self being frozen which would have interesting implications relating to how her personality was before the seeming change.
With her as RO the compulsion she places the MC through is interesting, particularly at the party when she well orders the MC to do something that would be brave to which my MC obeyed.
Painting ashes on my MC’s face to make her beautiful is an incredibly fascinating action to be honest given how fridged and cold Astoria otherwise is. Especially as she is a vampire because a grayish pallor can be associated with well death and well Vampires are typically a form of undead.
-I’ve got thoughts and theories regarding the MC though there far less coherent that the mess above at the moment.

Want to say, I got a scene I don’t think I should have. It was like my MC thinking about how they’re feeling something towards Chase, like as a first time thing and it maybe being romantic, and the three choices were like two confirming that and one “sticking with friendship” (something like that, sorry I’m not more helpful I don’t fully remember). The problem being that my MC was specifically a lesbian (well, a trans one so seemingly cishet at the moment) and only ever acted neutrally towards him. I never chose any of the romantic or even nice choices towards him, so the scene was really out of nowhere to me. Hope I’m clear enough with what I’m referring to
And uh, stupid spoiler question, can we end up becoming a vampire? I know there’s something off about the MC (at least my playthrough, might not always be the case) with their eyes being weird for a sec after the bike crash, and maybe that was a hint towards it. Also the bit with Astoria and what type of bird we’ll become (caged songbird or bird of prey, I think it was) maybe implying it. Totally understand if this is too deep spoiler territory.
I was made aware of that, I really dont know why this problem showed up (it worked fine before, will check this out later!

Nearly correct, only Fuchsia is a werewolf! Chase is a magician and they both work for Interpol but he will only say that in a male/trans-female Route! Will be rewriting to make this a bit more clear.
It made my day reading this dont worry!! Its so fascinating to read it! And Astoria showing up at night it not tied to her RO Route, but if MC donated any blood. I love this little details getting noticed (you are the first person mentioning the ash (which is also sth Droznik does but with him its actually wholesome)
This is a scene that everyone gets, there is no error here. I wrote it in because sometimes people who are like “Oh i am straight/lesbian/aro” can totally met one person (especially in that case where you finally met one normal person and not another cult member) and realise that they do actually feel attraction to that person (or its gender, thats why I left that choices to be either about, in your case, romantically feeling towards Chase or males in general)!

Absolutely! And its not stopping at becoming a vamp, I have many branching and even more endings already written (however the main game leans heavily on MC being groomed to become a vamp but only if you choose)! However what happened after the bike crash has nothing to do with vampires.

If I choose the “romance” option in a bookstore, I get a comment that it’s a cliché for a girl, but I’m playing as a guy.
And
If I don’t choose the scene with Droznik (after an argument with mother) and choose him at the party, then I have an endless scene where I keep choosing him, but nothing happens.
