The comma is my greatest enemy in writing, half of my editing is having to put them in where Iāve missed them and even then their absence still occasionally slips through.

This update also adds a personality system you shall see in chapter one, a game alert system, many grammar fixes, and a few adjustments to existing content.
Part 2/2, aka the rest of chapter 1, shall release within a few weeks.
Currently adding addiction variables so in future updates the MC can cope with their memories and mental troubles in rather unhealthy ways. A few of which will be seen in the next update, including alcoholism and resulting hangovers which can interfere in the plot.
All optional and to different degrees ofc.
Additionally, Iām not sure if I will be able to release this update within the next few weeks because itās bigger than I thought and Iāve been doing a lot of gaming and reading lately, but we shall see.
And on a final note I will be adding an optional Lirrahei P.O.V (can see or skip past) in the interlude.
Edit: Also just noticed if you order food at the pub, you are almost guaranteed to get soft locked so I will be updating the IF soon to fix it. While Iām at it, Iāll also include the Lirrahei P.O.V and alcoholism stuff. Nothing past the Ulmir(a) dream tho.

Some of you may have noticed that the IF has been updated recently. These were mostly just bug fixes, text alterations, etc., so not really worth mentioning. Most of my progress lately has been fixing and polishing up content, though I am making gradual forward progress too.
I also made my tumblr blog page and main post here much neater (and made the description sound less clunky and more concise).
Finally, I can now reveal that the rest of chapter 1 shall be released by the 15th of October. Deadlines are extremely motivating and productive for me more than anything else (I managed 6k words the day before the last major update and at least 2k words everyday for a while before that due to setting a deadline).
Good WIP, canāt wait to see more of the Dragon!MCās relationship with Ulmir/a, itās cute asf so far, I adore it.
Iāve gotta say though I canāt wait for my Vulture!MC to be reunited with Rune, seems like weād have a good relationship with them and perhaps could relate with each other a lot based off of what we know about her/him so far.
Kinda seems odd that Humans canāt become immortal though (stated by Deity!MC), even if theyāre a Stage 5 magic user (on par with the major gods and we literally create a sapient, sentient twin when weāre an infant as the Prodigy!MC.)
Yayyy, I was initially worried I wouldnāt be good at writing character interactions so Iām glad it came across as intended.
The specifics of why humans generally canāt have immortality, despite cases where they have high magic, is a little bit complicated and should be covered around chapter 2. Basically they have an energy-related feature that makes it so even if they can live a very long time, they still canāt be considered immortal.
However I can say that with the stage 5s, they can extend their lifespan through magic but none of them have lived long enough to be considered immortal (this is covered in the mage stages part of lore section of the stats page) and there would be complications after some time.
And regarding prodigy MC, well, they arenāt even typical for stage 5 standards

Gotta be honest, though, I was looking forward to being a Dragon in a human form. Wasnāt expecting to be full dragon still. Um, will we get a human form causeā¦not really into the idea of romancing humanoids if Iām still a lizard.
If no, got it. Iāll just give up on my dragon dreams and play one of the other origins.
Fair and donāt worry, both the dragon and vulture will be able to gain a humanoid form.
Plus thereās always the RO Kazamsu (and one or two minor romances) that are non-humanoids too for those that donāt want to take on the humanoid form.
Regardless of our origin, species and where we died we always seem to be teleported to the same place so Lirrahei finds our corpse and gives us a partial ressurection, Iād say the whole situation is probably engineered by one or more of the Major Gods or even Creator Gods (alternatively this could be a situation where there are more Creator Gods than we know of (whom created other universes) and arenāt exactly friendly with our local ones but canāt directly affect our universe much, or the same situation but thereās Cthonic Gods/entities in the realm of the dead and thatās why only the God of Death, the Creator Gods and the dead can go to the afterlife.)
If youāre referring to how they found our corpse in the first place (as in not dissolved since itās held together by Divine Charge) idk, maybe it takes longer than a day to dissolve properly or sumn, I was also wondering about that when I did a Deity!MC run
Yay! I will definitely play a round for Kazamsu, but my first round will be with Ulmir. I like the interaction and history between him and dragon MC. So glad there will be a future humanoid form option.
Lirrahei didnāt exactly find the PCās corpse. They found their consciousness (the same way theyād find the others because reasons ) then using magic kinda created the body that would match with the memories and informatiom of this consciousness since it canāt bind to anything else.
Lirrahei ofc canāt see the PCs memories themself (they just arenāt proficient enough) but in a way their own magic sorta can.
So TLDR: they didnāt find the body, they made it. Your original body is still very much dead. Mayhaps there will be unintended issues due to this.
Ohhhā¦ are we gonna have to eat our corpse (the real one) or something to regain our āenergyā, regain magic (if we had it in the first place) and stop rotting then? And maybe thereāll some necromancy being used for identity theft or as a weapon?
Also goddamn, replicating a literal godās (a major one at that) or a dragon or eldritch beingās body is way more impressive than just repairing our corpse, didnāt think Lirrahei was that strong due to her self deprecation.
Was wondering is Kazmasu dragon form larger than mc? In the demo it says that mc is smaller than they should be for a dragon or did they grow a little on the time they managed to escape.
Mc being roughly twice the size of a human would be this right?
So, I originally set the rest of chapter 1 to be released tomorrow, however with a combination of being busy (university, hyperfixations, a bit of burnout, deciding to deep clean the entire kitchen as a surprise for my mum cuz she was travelling) and continuously adding new things to chapter 1, it is not feasible to release quite yet. It should be complete in a week though.

I wasnāt quite sure how to respond to this because it does border on spoiler territory (especially the first paragraph). Buuut I can say Lirrahei is stronger than they give themself credit for but they also usually arenāt strong enough to replicate a body or manipulate consciousness to such a degree. Such a feat couldnāt really have been done by anyone else but Lirrahei and it could only have occurred in that moment in time due to a lot of circumstances and interference.

Correct. Though, dragon MC would be less wide and probably a touch smaller because of the way their wings and legs work. In my mind they would have 4 legs and wings (that they can kinda tuck back) but thatās not really a vital point plot wise so you can imagine them in other ways if you wish.
Dragons in the Fate of the Undead universe stop growing around the age of 10 (at least height wise, they continue to grow in other areas for a while longer), at this time dragon MC was still in captivity so they missed their major growth period. I shall create a timeline of events for each MC leading up to their deaths at some point in the near future.
