Haven’t played the update yet but just got to say I love this story

Torn between wanting the finished story and never wanting the story to end :see_no_evil:

I found an error regarding Ortega’s gender pronoun:

OK, so I’m not sure what happened here, if it’s messed up coding or just a typo or whatever, but:

And then some typos that I found, idk if you want those too:

What, not how

S capitalised.

Spoon is a good boy.

No matter how many times I replay the demo, I never tire of it. There’s just so many avenues to explore! I can’t even decide whether I love the Herald’s training sce e or the Steel scene more, because both of them are awesome :hugs:

There’s a possible continuity error I just noticed; I can’t remember if it was there before, but I got this while playing as a hero hunter:

"You’re still thinking about the Handyman. You have to admit, he did what few others had managed. He turned the tables on you and almost managed to catch you in your own trap. You didn’t take him seriously enough, he was just a vigilante without any visible powers and with cheap mods

Of course, that was your reputation back in the day."

This seems to suggest that the MC lost/had a draw in the Handyman fight even before Lady Argent’s appearance. However, I got this scene even though I managed to win the fight with the Handyman, and nothing of him turning the tables on my MC happens.

Another thing: I understand how Sidestep can have a reputation of ‘fighting without any visible powers and with cheap mods’, though the sentence in that quote above also implies that Sidestep had the reputation of a vigilante - which isn’t the case for all MCs.

Stayed in the elevator and didn’t even followed her, that aside thanks to manipulation she does not hate the mc

Also during the new scene with herald, when the mc and herald talk about ortega, she turns male.
Same in the office scene after the talk to steel

You get different dialogue depending on what you chose during the character creation. For example, if you chose the option for Sidestep being considered a hero in the past, the scene you mentioned above will have slightly different dialogue to accomodate how people used to view you as a hero (at least this is what happens when I choose the hero past option). Similarly, I think if you chose Sidestep as being a sidekick in the past, the scene also changes accordingly.
In your case (in regards to the scene you are talking about), I’m fairly certain the scene is there due to you choosing the vigilante option.

It was there when my sidestep had a heroic rep too, which was why I brought it up

Fixed the bugs, and yes they were all real bugs! Had missed adjusting some variant paths. Won’t upload the fixed ones yet, since I am also adding new content. Will be fixed next update.

“How do you you mean?” is a correct usage, just not common.

Ohhh ok then. Didn’t know that! :v

It usually refers to asking for an explaination of an idea, opinion, or concept. Either work in the instance but the “how” is more specific in this instance.
Edit- Though the “ideas get started” should be “gets”.

You sure there’s not one ”you” too many in ”How do you you mean”?

I can’t figure out how to unlock the option to tell Ortega to choose between Sidestep and Puppet. I feel like I’ve tried every possible combination but it’s always either grayed out or the game automatically goes to the Puppet breakup scene. What am I missing?

I think the game automatically goes to the puppet breakup scene if your MC’s friendship score with Ortega is at 75 or higher.

If the above isn’t true, then I believe the option to get Ortega to choose between the MC and the puppet is unlocked when (1) Ortega is flirting with the puppet, and (2) if the MC’s relationship with Ortega is “it’s complicated”.

You can’t have ‘it’s complicated’. It needs to be ‘had a thing’ or else he knows you still have feelings and thus automatically breaks up with Puppet. Or you just can’t have too high relationship? He did break up last time and he was DATING Puppet and had ‘it’s complicated’ with MC. Or I just missclicked in character creator.

Best choice to unlock that scene is to have (IF I remember correctly) Puppet dating Ortega and ‘had a thing’ with MC. That should work just fine I suppose.

I was checking the code just to confirm and:

In the earlier scene:

A small setback like this won’t ruin your plans, right? Right. So why can’t you get it out of your mind?

*if ((ortega_relationship = “it’s complicated”) and (ortega_flirting_puppet))
It’s a question you already know the answer to

*if (ortega_friendship >= 75)
*goto puppetbreakup
*else
*goto ortegathoughts

And after

*selectable_if (ortega_relationship = “it’s complicated”) #I’ll push Ortega to make a choice between us. I need to know how ${he} feels.

As for who Ortega picks after , it depends on the MC and the puppet’s relationship with Ortega.

Crikey, I think I’d get a headache if I play this route :joy:

Wait what the hell? Doesn’t that mean it’s impossible to get?!
