It’s probably not gonna be a total dealbreaker but it will make things trickier and possibly take things slightly longer to get started. She’s absolutely gonna be conflicted about it because he’s still her best friend at the end of the day.
I’ll think about adding something on those lines. “This goes both ways” is supposed to be that type of choice, but I needed to write the scene in a way that can flexibly work whether or not Dime punched Teddie, so probably it’d have to be tweaked to make “have you said the same to him” work.
Actually, that rude post reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to say (except it’s like the opposite lol)
I really appreciate how unique the physical appearances of some of the characters are! Like Kay and Teddie looking “weird” because of their powers, CG and Dime having visible side effects of the juice and generally being kinda messed up from it (a good thing!), etc. It makes them much more interesting than characters who are just conventionally attractive imo, a character’s physical appearance can be used to show their story and make it feel more impactful and I feel like you’ve done a great job at it!
Let me get this straight. It’s rude to say we don’t find any fictional character in a book attractive purely based on the description because we’re gonna hurt the feelings…. Of who exactly? The mass of text? If you find that offensive I think 2025. Is gonna be hard for you.
I’ve held off on reading this for far too long because superhero fiction isn’t my favourite, but that was a mistake. This is great! I love the angst and how dark things can get, and CG has absolutely stolen my heart. Choosing between her and Spoiler is going to be brutal!
Just reading through the demo again while waiting for some updates. Just had an idle thought regarding what the Juice
Summary
It’s just in regards as to Hypo asking about the Juice. I’m in two minds about it. Either CG has been siphoning off some extra juice. Or Paradigm has already been a guinea pig for the new juice.
In the latest meeting with Hypothesis, he says that each member of the Coven is named after a scientific terminology. But that doesn’t seem to be the case for Lullaby. Is there a particular reason for this, or is it that the name is just appropriate for his role.
