Call me old fashioned but I like we have gender locked options, for those with two genders what you are getting is the gender is just totally irrelevant

I hear u but I just thought a game about fables would us to have at least a bit of control of gender given considering this day and age.
maybe they install that in chapter two or chapter three if they decide to its ultimately up to them.
Some fables have a choice but others don’t which is weird. I’m not sure what the author was trying to do making some of them.

Well it was mention in a comment by the author that they were not planning at first to give some of the mcs a decision to be male or female but eventually changed they mind to do it, so I don’t really know why the author not give authur and ishtar the same gender choice or how the author determine a character that needs it
Because by making the character gender selectable, it takes away from the MC as a ‘self’. Especially in this situation where there isn’t 1 MC but multiple each with their ‘own’ story to tell, and ‘we’ as the readers, are merely choosing the path the MC walks, nothing more and and nothing less.

You can create unique paths for each gendered mc like I the forgotten one, but that’s just insane amount of work for this book, not realistic
I’d rather prefer there’s unique dialog that specifically references the female Ishtar, instead of giving me a choice to pick between two genders that’s actually irrelevant

Bruh I didn’t even comprend one bit of your comment but I don’t think the author will so causally let people mess with they work but more like get advice and opinion from them to form a roadmap of what to add to the game, the author might let people to interven in they work but only as a proof reader to search for mistakes in text or let those they are close with try it

ok i simplify it in other world why hes not on his account other people can get access to his/her account like a family member messing with him/her to make them mad or worst case scenario it got hacked by a hacker.

hacker, I doubt it and family messing with the authors account is highly unlikely, if u and me consider that only the author knows they password and would definitely not share or allow people to become aware of the password or what they use to access they account or @John_Hindley would u seriously let people see your password, hell even those close to u
I feel as if that might be disrespectful as the author was just active on Tumblr yesterday or 2 days ago and explained the writing is very slow due to the death of their dog.

Played the Ishtar route for the second time. I find myself enjoying it immensely, not because of being powerful thing but the fact Ishtar route seems…not sure how to put it into words… intriguing. It doesn’t fully follow the epic and Ishtar is not portrayed exactly like the legends she is a war goddess but neither, depending on your choices as her, is bloodthirsty. In fact she wants to be with people but really can’t without help.
Zeus’s is more troubled and painful despite the backstory. It’s not hard to read but I think more amazing how the guy keeps going
I think it’s time I try the monkey king and Lucifer routes and see what I think of them after a few times.

When playing broken fable just take this with a open mind that some parts in the story is a twisted origin story and lore of the mcs

it don’t matter which path you chose ya gonna have wait along time till you get to see the new updates in the game so just pick any of them .
that is why there are save files to explore one’s options but I understand the feeling of not just choosing one mc so why not just choose a mc u feel u have most in common with or can relate the most to, for me I chose Janus

Sorry for the radio silence! I am back and pleased to announce the next update will drop on Wednesday, the 12th 
. I know I’m late, and I apologize. Work has been a tad crazy lately, my dog passed, and I now have nasty case of covid. Truly a week of all time. The update will increase the game’s length to 101k words, but I would not be shocked if it ends up being a couple thousand more by the time I post it Wednesday.
It will include…
- Zeus and Arthur’s variant of the second chapter
- A new RO I have kept to myself will finally appear at the end of the chapter. There are 7 in total, and I am about to update the RO list in the original post with the sixth after writing this. I won’t be adding the seventh to that list until the 12th (The only thing I will disclose before then is that they are gender selectable and very old
) - Some minor changes and dialogue tweaking throughout the whole thing
The reason this update is taking so long is because I am also changing some things around. Many other changes will not make it into this update, but the two following. One of the big things I am working on are the stats. I will be blunt; I was still a coding baby when I started this endeavor and didn’t really know what I was going to do with the stats. I now have a plan, but it will take a bit of time to implement.
The next update will include…
- Ishtar’s Chapter 2 variant. She is getting an ability and weakness rework which is why
she is not in this update; it was taking longer than I thought. Her backstory will be mostly staying the same; just her abilities are getting tweaked. - Sun Wukong Chapter 2 variant along with some very minor backstory changes
Not much to report other than that. Thanks for the support, everyone, and have a pleasant evening! 
edit: I am also considering hiring a professional artist to do some work for the game. I have no idea where to look, though, so it would be appreciated if anyone knows someone or where to find one.

I don’t mind the wait as long as u make the update a good one. No need to rush besides u should work at your pace since it’s your story and probably have your own stuff to do in real life.

I like these updates as well as improvements! It shows your growth as both a writer and a coder.
Sadly I know nothing of any artist and I am a cruddy artist myself so I wish you luck on finding one!
