To be fair, in that game, you’re at the Top Sect of a Martial World created by a demonic cultivator (who manage to stand out as a monster even for one) as a massive Gu ritual to create worthwhile harvest to leave the planet. In that context, you’re very unlikely to find the kind of cultivators that are above killing you over petty slights. It’s a martial world where being POLITE to a mortal is enough to make your soul more virtuous (and it’s not just an alignement thing, in a Cultivator stuff, it’s a literal thing that can be measured), that should tell you how bad the situation is.
Meanwhile in Aura Clash, you’re in the loser’s league of the loser’s territories in a much more ‘normal’ / ‘natural’ martial world. Everyone involved has had to learn a lot more restraint because in the end, they are the little fishes and Mao trying to mess with you over petty stuff showed exactly why since that just got him stuck in a form of Indentured Servitude.

So POMA is the way it is because the world itself was made by a demonic maniac looking to revive his wife by any means necessary.
While AC is the way it is because the world is much less hostile and more comedic in tone than POMA’s.

I don’t even think it’s less hostile either, it’s just we aren’t around very strong people yet. we can even see some hostility in latest chapters and how they think of average person. guessing we will see even more hostility in the upcoming trials
