I pushed a small patch. Hopefully it fixes the bugs people mentioned further up in the thread. If it actually breaks something instead, please let me know.

Unfortunately, it did the latter (I think). I dont know if its my device that is the problem, however in certain parts of the game, I cannot save.

I highly doubt that’s a problem with the code. It can be convoluted at times, but nothing I do can impact the CoGDemos save system that much.
Speaking of convoluted, you can all have a sneak-peak of an upcoming update. If it looks like I allowed for too many variants, that’s because I did, but it feels too late to turn back.

Rescue Update. The public version of the game has just received a new content update of about 33K words, including everything from the Patreon version and a new “rescue” sequence in Chapter Five.
I will endeavor to release another update come Christmas. Stay tuned.

the option to send soldiers to defend the grove refers to Northpoint

In First Blood when you assign forces for defending if you assign Condor Company to Northpoint the block of text describing how they did is skipped entirely. Looked at the code and it seems to check for the “mercs” variable for all three locations when the actual variable it should be checking for is “mercenaries”.
Another bug in Encircled is in the branch where the abhumans flee from the city. When approaching the town one of the choices says “Position yourself between Elvira and Elvira, getting partial cover from both sides”. Also when I was approached by someone that was asking to bring them along their name was missing from all sentences. Don’t know what exactly went wrong code wise but I accepted their help and I guess that also caused the Elvira thing.
It appears as though I got lost in my own variables. I’ll have it all fixed soon enough.

Any godmode options in the future?
Nah. The easy mode removes nearly all challenge already, and it’s hard to die on any difficulty unless you’re picking joke options. If anything, there’s a chance I’ll add a super-hard difficulty for people who already beat the game once, for a little added replay value.

I think I just suck at this game 3 playthroughs keep dying or losing wealth whats the best way to generate more wealth?
You keep dying? That’s really not what I envisoned when designing the game. Which sections do you have trouble with, and what are you spending the starting wealth on?

My stupid self was bribing all the factions every moment I got
Using normal mode i always get betrayaled by the monks or common people just leave the city
Though looking on reddit I seen my mistakes after a friend showed me strategy to try I didn’t invest in physical stats so i believe its why I kept dying by chapter 2 or 3 when you meet the first group of soldiers and rebels my own naive tactics seems being my downfall
Bribing everyone might not be the best idea, but a part of your forces going renegade is not a failure condition. The event cannot be prevented unless you make everyone dislike you and tank morale, which replaces it with the impeachment sequence. Getting it is a sign that you’re not doing as bad as you could.
So not sure if this has Ben notified yet but the math bit for prep of the hate week festival (wow that’s gotta sound so wrong for people who haven’t read to it)is wrong it’s 5000 increased by 145% which is 12250 and that’s not working.
I’m just going to go ahead and say it: Vic’s question is a trick. It mention shoes in the first sentence, but then asks about how many pairs of shoes have been produced. You must divide your answer by two to get it right.
