How big is Moravia again? Is it bigger or smaller than, say, Switzerland?

I think slightly smaller then my own country, the Netherlands. I think the size of our secessionist southern neighbors in Belgium would be a fair estimate for the size of Moravia.
That would seem to fit the size and importance of Moravia, it doesn’t appear to be a micro-state but it clearly isn’t one of the big boys either.
Generally Alex shies away from giving us anything firm location-wise too, so we’ve just got to imagine it for ourselves to an extent.

is there or will there be a way were we can play as someone who wants to avoid street violence, maybe even be pacifist or someone that only restorts to violence when all other options have failed (giving the MC the ability to join the military later on)? Sicne given that we have the option presented by the moderate on both routes (NO and SO) to support the notion of ceaseing the street gang violence, but nevertheless continue on to excersie and participate in them this option is rendered a bit meaningless.

There was both a politician and a military path later down the road if I remember correctly. I think its around the time the civil war begin.

From this point on in the game, getting personally involved in violence is entirely optional, and I think so far there is only one mandatory street violence task (in the second chapter), otherwise you can avoid it/choose to not take up tasks involving violence. The deal that you mentioned was not intended to end violence all together, for Solidarity it is ending violence with the SDP and for New Order it is ending needless clashes with the Civil Guard. If you made the deal it will benefit you in the election campaign and later on as well but it doesn’t end left v right violence.

But how will the deal in NO path help us? The National Bloc doesn’t control the Civil Guard anymore.

How do you mean? von Harzberg’s government would stay in power until the election campaign is done and thus they still control the Civil Guard during the election campaign. The only way you lose authoritarian control of the Civil Guard is by playing New Order and then losing the election.

But didn’t the parliament and the government dissolve after the ball?

The government has to remain as caretakers during the election. Like in any system there have to be people holding down the fort.

Someday I always liked in this game was how gender was handled. Moravia appears to be rather progressive in gender equality for a nation in the 1930s, so much that even their fascist party has female MPs and it was possible for male prioritized royal succession to be ignored in favor of national security. What I liked was the little reminders that it is still a man’s world in other places or in many aspects. Such as Alessandra pointing out how women MPs wouldn’t be possible back in Italy or Kant talking about her husband disproving of her wearing trousers.

I agree completely; It always annoys me how modern historic fiction is somehow “progressive”, as if inequality and suffering never happened back then. It does injustice to the people that actually had to endure gender and racial inequality. I like how Alex made it so that even though Moravia is, to a degree, socially progressive, the game still shows that inequality.

Also, is it possible to have a radical socialist republic ending after agreeing to be on the Popular Front with SDP, or does that already lock in a moderate route?

No, the Popular Front is definitely not a lock in. It only really effects how the election is fought. Once the civil war starts there are opportunities to take the direction you desire.

And thanks for the praise around the prejudice. I have to walk a delicate line between allowing as much as possible for the modern player but also trying to depict the very real prejudices that would have existed at that time. I wanted a female player to be able to do everything a male one could while also showing that things are not entirely equal. Even the way for example that Rosa Wulf talks about Kant at times is quite gendered, in the negative sense. Similarly with homosexual relationships, I wanted players to be able to experience it, but at the same time be aware that society does not really tolerate it.

I really really love this game  , it’s unlike anything I’ve ever played yet on CoG (mostly because political-fiction aren’t really my thing) and to be honest when I first saw the option to be in a Fascist party my bias self was like nope but then I decided to give it a go anyway and wahh this game has so much potential!! I love it please keep up the amazing work!

Also may I say that I am absolutely smitten with both the solidarity romances available to a straight female MC? Especially the dashing photo-journalist  but I wonder since he is British and in Moravia just for a job, will he inevitably have to return to his country and leave my poor Mc heartbroken and alone?

Anyway, now onto some bugs i've found:

Note: take some of the grammar correction with a hint of salt as i am not a native English speaker

So I was wondering does the side we aren’t playing as join an alliance or go alone?

Either the opposite of whatever we choose or it depends on how aggressive/outspoken we’ve been with some of our choices im guessing.

Thanks very much, honestly hearing positive feedback and knowing that the game is appreciated is one of the things that really does keep authors going so make sure you let them know, not just here but with all WIPs you enjoy! (that’s a point to everyone, not just @eVe)

Glad you like them, and yes, every romance will run in to some sort of difficulty and periods of separation is just one such problem…

I will fix those when I have a spare moment, everything very hectic in my real work atm so it may be a little while, but thanks so much for the detailed and precise feedback, it is appreciated!

The side you aren’t playing does not form an alliance because it is both Riga and Wulf’s natural inclination not to. They have to be persuaded by the MC to go for it.

What exactly is the difficulty with straight Franz or Herta? I mean the others are fairly clear, Riga and the prince make it all but clear that you’re just their ftoy, Kant is an affair, the diplomats could be using you, Lydia thinks you might be after her money, Sash wants to take it slow, all of the gay options have to be hidden due to social norms, I can’t really think of Falk’s issue, but I’d imagine it might be similar to the photojournalist, and Lou is a decadent American dating a high ranking communist

It could be seen as politically unsound; for example, if you found out 2 senators were sleeping together, would you not be suspicious of corruption?
