The description of that one gave me chills (and definitely not positive).

It’s just yet another political intrigue IF where you’re forced to marry a guy

I would like to see a story like this, but with monach MC :sunglasses: Why does the reader always have to be that weaker side?

Female MC and female ROs, so nothing for me… Besides, it’s vampires again. Meh. Other supernatural species really need more IFs about them. There was two new recently about mermaids, which makes me happy but still no (active) WIP with angel MC : (

I hope angels and demons will become more popular.

When the time comes, i hope you decide to read my Patchwerks project.

Yeah, same. I’m getting tired of vampires and werewolves. I wish more people would try to focus more on supernatural creatures we don’t see much.

Like… centaur! I’ve never seen this creature in IFs, even as non-romance side character. There are many exciting possibilities - djinn, basilisk, phoenix…

Ohhhh this is right up my alley, ty for sharing

Or an even better idea, creating completely original supernatural creatures of their own.

I honestly would prefer more representation of mythological creatures outside of standard than I would like completely new ones. There is something deeply cathartic about the idea of seeing a creature that you know but never get to actually see getting brought into the forefront of attention.

That too wouldn’t be so bad.

Coffee Road: a song by coffee

This feels so refreshing and cozy after so many angsty-filled WIPs that we got lately. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: there is a dog called pancake!!!

Thanks for sharing

I occasionally think about doing a comedy fantasy interactive about the misadventures of a Lamia and Drider would be hero duo in a fantasy world that DOESN’T have the typical fantasy races of humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, vampires and werewolves (or at least they went extinct a while back). Maybe I might try doing that via Twine at some point.

I’m glad recent media has been giving Wendigo some love. I’d love an IF about surviving those. Or a Skinwalker.

The Enchanted Burden

Why not both
Seriously though, totally on board with inclusion of under-represented and original critters. I frequently drop them into my own games because why not? Would be great to see more games showing the less well known ones love.

I’ve honestly always been surprised Lamia never get much representation either as MC’s or adversaries. I mean giant snake person, what’s not cool about that?

I think it’s just we keep getting the more modern standard vampires (which are popular so I understand.) It’s rare you get the old school gothic vampires (with all the traditional folklore) or and I’ve never seen the alternatives like penanggalan. (I mean seriously, why hasn’t anyone taken the idea of an adversary who is a difficult to hunt down as they may seem like normal looking woman by day, but by night detatches their head and entrails from their body and floats around seeking the blood of their victims and can hunt by entangling victims in her intestines.

Edit: Off topic, but when checking my spelling of penanggalan was right, I came across this cool little blog post which has werewolf and vampire types from around the world. I had no idea there were good werewolves in folklore. Coffee, Books, and the Blood of My Enemies — Monster of the Week: A Writer’s Guide to Vampires!

(If anyone wants to talk about this sort of stuff further, we probably should split the thread  )
