@Auser - You can choose the no romance option, which means you don’t commit to a romance and just have the friendships instead (which will also feature heavily in the romance paths anyway)- but this is a romance story, so a lot of content will be missed if this is chosen. But I’ll make sure to put that as a note in game so as people know!

Work is still dragging me down at the moment, so I’m stuck not being able to write for a few days. I am getting some prep stuff done in the meantime though.
And to keep the excitement going, I thought I’d post a little snippets/differences of one of the small things I like to add in to keep things fresh in playthroughs. It’s not spoilery, but I’ll put it in spoilers for anyone who doesn’t want to know anything until the full game.
If M has high romance or friendship:
Mason brushes aside a prickly branch of a bush from our path, holding it back as I move up beside him, and then letting it ping back into place when we’ve passed.
If not good friendship or romance:
Morgan brushes aside a prickly branch of a bush from our path, letting it swing back and almost slap me in the face as I walk behind her.
Ah M, always so lovely…

Oh my gosh please do. One of the reasons my MC gets so annoyed with Bobby is because she still finds her attractive to a degree so it’s like “get your annoyingly cute face out of here so I can focus on my new hot vampire girlfriend kthnxbai”

M so far is quite skilled at pissing off my “canon” Detective when I’ve run choices where she spends time with them. She’s team-oriented and doesn’t like to lose though, so it looks like it’s going to be a protracted battle of her going “one day we are going to get along or so help me” while I sit back and cackle.
Not surprisingly my second-run Detective is having a much easier time of getting along with M so far, since she is way more chill in general, with quick-witted sarcasm to help grease the wheels.
I just love it when there’s flavor text like this. It really helps make the characters seem real, especially when playing off of different MC’s!

I wasn’t so sure about this game at first since it was a detective game but after playing through it, I have to admit I’m glad I gave this WIP a chance. I really liked how the plot was written and the characters in it was also unique in their own ways. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this eventually.

Well, according to the ‘be gentle, it’s my first time ask’ bite reaction, Adam/Ava does seem to have a hidden sense of humor on certain matters; not that they would admit to it or that it would be easy to spot most of the time. 
Speaking of that tumblr bite question though:
Felix/Farah’s reaction was rather surprising; instead of being their usual joking self, they actually take the moment really seriously even if Detective MC tries to make the possible moment less tense with a joke. That shift in attitude feels like in could possible be because of one of two things.

It’s the first time they’ve ever bitten anyone before. I wouldn’t be too surprised if Nate/Nat, Ava/Adam, and Mason/Morgan have already had some form of experience biting someone (especially in Ava/Adam and Nat/Nate case, as it seems to be implied that they have been vampires for quite a long while) since they all seem relatively relaxed once Detective MC starts cracking jokes. But seeing as it is hinted that Felix/Farah doesn’t have as much freedom to move about as the others in their group, they may have not have had a chance to have that type of experience. So while they don’t mind joking about biting to some extent (like when the Detective doesn’t know they’re a vampire), they take the moment MUCH more seriously once they are actually put in the situation.

They were a vampire that was turned rather than born, and it was possibly not a very gentle turning either. So maybe they have firsthand experience on a how painful a thoughtless bite from a vampire can be and want to be as careful as possible to avoid making Detective MC experience the same thing. The fact that they take the moment to remind Detective MC about the actual seriousness of the moment does seem like they don’t want the Detective to take it too lightly due to their own possible experience on the matter.
Of course, these are just guesses. 
This should be interesting; while Lupin seems to have a good standing with the Police Captain, he’s certainly not as liked by the Captain’s golf buddy. Then again, Mayor doesn’t seem all that likable of a guy to begin with, ranting at the Detective for something his own son let happen (and caused mainly by Bobby no less; I’m pretty sure that reporter’s quite infamous for their stories in Wayhaven at this point).
