Why M?
In my country, there is an idiom means, like, “Girls always love bad boys” 
They have thier own attraction I guess.
Actually, there are lots of movies in which the main male character is a bad boy. He always gets the girl even though there will be a super nice guy compares with him.
All joking aside it is just a matter of personal taste. Some people like the bad boy/girl, just like some people like the sweet kind or the flirty kind.
M has a lot going for them that can appeal to people: the mystery, the physical/sexual aspect, a little bit of the defrosting the Ice Queen trope (even tho A is the number 1 Ice Queen), and how they’re so unapologetic in their jerkness. It can be refreshing to have a character who’s a jerk, knows they’re a jerk, and is totally fine with being a jerk (I mean, there’s a line, of course, but M is far from crossing it).
I’ll admit that I’m not a confident person irl so I’m drawn to characters who are confident and don’t care about pleasing other people.
And, heck, some people think smoking is hot so there’s that.
Edited: Then again, if it were up to me, I would totally let my MC get back together with Bobby because I am T R A S H so I might not be the best person to talk about whats appealing and whats not lol
I don’t care for the ‘bad boy’ type of character (or ‘bad girl’ in my case), I just enjoy friction between characters. And since M is an uncaring jerk who doesn’t care about following my MC’s rules, that makes for some great tension and hostility. (Same reason I’m looking forward to A’s romance.)
I also quite enjoy the ‘this is purely physical with no feelings whatsoev- oh no’ thing.

I’m going for M with Keiji because they’re both just interested in no-strings-attached fun, until wh00ps there’s feelings. that kinda slow unfurling is something that’s gonna be fun to see in action. I’m also gonna go for M with a more shy, easily flustered MC just cause I wanna see how flustered they can get~
My MC Jamie thinks Morgan is rude and hard to understand and detests smoking in public places, but can see she works well when she needs to so is trying to cut her some slack. Happy to hear you can try and get her to quit, actually, I will take that challenge… 
For me, Ms description was the most interesting and attractive one. Setting looks aside I think that(especially after the sneak peak into their personality) M is the one (and A, too i guess) whos unlife can be positively impacted the most.
Sorry for that sentence but I dont know how to describe it in a different way…
I like to think that my MC can grow to someone special for M, who gives them something that they would normaly try to avoid.
Oh, and the Icequeen thing

Yes, the mayor does live in The Cornerstones, unsurprisingly, lol Douglas is 19.
I’m going to be perfectly honest: I’m actually kinda looking forward to meeting the mayor to see how this guy acts in person. And also mainly because I want a moment to be sarcastic to his face when he inevitably starts his huffing and puffing. 
That’s actually a bit younger than I was thinking but it makes a lot more sense! Now my desire to protect my son has only grown
